What we or anybody else "believe" has no barring on how this issue should be dealt. Margarito was found with an "illegal substance" in his hand wrapping. However, this substance in question was handled by over 15 different people before it was taken away as evidence. To add insult to injury, the commission were not even competent enough to notice any irregularity with Capetillo's method, it took Nazim Richardson to bring the issue to light. The only eye-witness account of the hearing describes how the whole event was dealt with in a unfair manner, and ultimately, no evidence was brought to the table. Margarito is banned for a year.

All Capetillo admitted to was making "an honest mistake" and had no idea what he was being charged for until the day of the hearing.

    "Reasonable doubt"

    does this look dangerous...

NOW I FULLY BELIEVE MARGO WHEN HE SAID HE DIDN'T KNOW, AND THAT'S AN EASY MISTAKE TO BE MADE IF CAPETILLO IS BEING HOUNDED BY A COUPLE OF MEN...

It sounded like an over-exaggeration to begin with, and those pictures don't dispel that assumption at all. It looks like cloth.

Totally agree. HBO shoulda been more careful before they made some of the comments they made. They really didnt know **** before they started questioning Margaritos other wins, particularly the Cotto fight. They were much too hasty in their acusations

No one thought of it as bricks or even cast.

People just ran with it to exaggerate.

but it doesn't change the fact that what was done to his gloves was illegal.

Water or plaster moistened the wraps is illegal.

Margos trainer first said they were Pre Treated Gloves

Obviously he did something to them prior.

Your pretty quick to write this off, looking at this pic its impossible to even tell the texture of what's in the bag.
Where did this bag come from? the commission would have had a closer look then what we are seeing, cause they have yet to back down from their ruling , which is guilty of loaded gloves.

I remember reading an article from the actual hearing where a person with in the commission was asked to feel and analyze the guaze and his words were if I remember correctly "that it was NOT hard like he was expecting". If that is not evidence enough I'm not sure what everyone is expecting?
