The difference is, if Margarito is proven to have knowingly cheated then we'll be the first to admit that Antonio deserves a life time ban. However, if it is proven that Margarito's wraps were only wet and that he had no intention to cheat, then these guys will not go back on their word. I have my opinion as everybody else does, and I agree with Emmanuel Stewart when I say I don't think Margarito had any idea what was going on at that time, and he would not have knowingly cheated. On that basis, I don't think he is guilty of anything and therefore should be allowed to continue fighting. It's all he knows.

 

If your boyfriend told you his car was registered and it wasn't, and you took it for a spin down to Provincetown and happened to get pulled over, do you think the cop will send him the ticket or put your name on it?

Regardless, while the investigation is pending he should not be able to fight, that is how it works in the legal system. Its for the protection of the pther fighters.

I am saying at this time, during the interim, it is hard for me to believe that Antonio Margarito, who turned pro at age 15, would knowingly enter the ring with loaded gloves. You can make your own assumptions, but I think it would benefit everybody if we all just calmed down until there is sufficient evidence proving that Antonio is guilty.
