First of all i doubt that it is computer vs computer it looks like 2 players but even if it was anyway is a joke
That whole computer tournament thing was handled dreadfully, it was such a shame. I got so excited when I heard about it too! Butterbean was in the "Heavyweight Legends Tournament"
I always felt Winky was very much a right place right time guy. He had some impressive showings in the UK that were sandwiched between clear losses to Vazquez and Simon. He got a shot at a green Vargas and almost won but got outhustled at the end and lost a fair (but admittedly either way type) decision and then perpetuated a myth that all his losses were bogus and in his opponents back yard. People who hadn’t seen those fights well for it. Then Mosley, who by now is a shell of his former self and has no business at 154 takes a stupid fight with him much as a washed up Trinidad did the following year. He got so much steam of those two fights (three I suppose with the harder than it should have been Mosley re-match)but they weren’t that impressive IMO. His level was shown when he was in a close enough fight with Taylor. The same Taylor who was just as close to losing vs. Spinks. His losses to Hopkins and Williams are tossed away by many because he was smaller vs. Hopkins and inactive/passed prime vs. Williams. Well wasn’t that the exact case which got him his inflated standing? Rant over. There’s no way he beats Monzon.
I believe Monzon would win this pretty cleanly. I don't think he knocks Wright out though. Winky was super solid defensively and would last the distance in my opinion and even have some moments against Carlos. In the end, Carlos is just to much for a guy that was at his best at 154.
Winky's defense is good but Carlos will be on him constantly and sooner or later he'll have to fight Monzon and when he does he takes his beating
His first 2 losses were before he adopted the high guard. The Vargas fight could certainly easily scored to Winky, I think it probably should of done. I think the Taylor fight should probably have gone the other way too in a 7-5 type of decision and I prefer Taylor as a person so there's no bias there. As for Mosley/Tito being past it, I rematched Mosley-DLH2 in full to comment on this and despite me considering it a robbery at the time I think there's a case for a 7-5 Mosley decision. And Tito obviously blasted out Mayorga, which was a scalp at the time
