Yes, I did say this. It is a fact. Paul Williams has more fights at MW than Winky Wright. I'm telling you that it's irrelevant to the point I made. If I was arguing that Williams has fought better opposition at MW, this would be a question that I would need to answer. However, I never argued this. I said that Williams has fought more times at MW. That is a fact, and who he fought at MW does not change the amount of times that he fought at MW.
But he wouldn't do it again though so I consider him to be 1 of the fighters who wanted no parts..nothing to be ashamed of on Tony's part..Everyone else was not wanting any parts of Paul at 147....
Winky is going to take the fight to Paul, he is at Wildcard and has been doing routines with Pepper Roach and the way Pepper pushes you on the mits is designed specificly to fight, none of this boxing ****, its going to be a fight. I cant wait, I like Winkys chances in this fight.
And still haven't answer my question Reg but anyways the point am trying to make here is that Williams is a real good fighter no question about that but WHO has he fought at this weight is the real question rather than fighters that will make anyone look great. And yes Wright will be a good test for him BUT not the best due to his age and that he has been out of the ring for a while now still a very good fight.
But the good thing is that he ALREADY did fight em so how can you consider him to be one of those fighters WHO FOR REAL'S DOESN'T WANT any part of him OR WHO HASN'T EVEN FOUGHT HIM ONCE when Margarito at least ALREADY DID FIGHT EM ONCE.
good post...My reason comes from him turning down 4 million...I don't think Tony wanted any parts of Paul..I think its a bad matchup for Tony...In-fact, any quick handed boxer with decent skills and knows how to box and move or throw punches from outside is a bad matchup for Tony....
