Hernandez has alot of good attributes but my skepticism around him and his future accomplishments in the division revolve around his chin. It's average at best and CW is a punchers division, almost all the top CW's and the top prospects are punchers.

He dominated Macca, Alekseev and beat Huck 9-3 and had him running the whole fight. Holyfield has a close fight with Foreman guess he sucked too and no that Jones fight was not competitive they was alot love to assert.

Still only seen parts of the fight, can't ever seem to have the time for it. The general consensus from boxing fans that it was a close fight that could have gone eithe way, I will not judge until I've watched it. Defo rather see the rematch purely because Ive been a huge Afolabi fan since he pushed enzos **** in and think he will beat huck in the rubber.

Yeah, if Afolabi doesn't get Huck he should fight whoever he can get. I would make him a favourite over anyone but Hernandez who I think has a style advantage, but even against Hernandez he would be live. High times for Afo. The momentum is with him.

For sure. If they can get their **** together (and the money in CW is bad enough that the top guys often fight each other) we could see some really surprising results.

Tarver-Kayoed, who do you, and everyone else, have?

Kayode is pretty crude and i don't consider him a real CW prospect (there are quite a few real solid ones) Tarver will outclass and brutalize him the only question is how good his chin is and how long it goes in my mind.

Although there's always that chance that Tarver will get overwhelmed by physicality. It's not his division after all and that kid can punch.

But it's a good fight in my mind, even if Tarver should be favoured, as in, anything could happen. There are loads of fights like that in this division.

Tarver is a good sized CW physically and with his punching power a crude Slugger isn't going to bully him. Tarver's counter punching and footwork are going to make any attempts at brute aggression look silly.

These are the real CW prospects imo.

    Rakhkim Chakhkiev
    Alexander Frenkel *possibly retired
    Mateusz Masternak
    Dmytro Kucher
    Isa Akberbayev
    Yago Kiladze
    Yunier Dorticos
    Izu Ugonoh

Was in line for a Euro title shot after destroying Macca with perhaps the most brutal KO of 2010 but said he had been boxing his whole life and wanted a year off. It's been almost 2 and no word of him coming back. People say he and Huck hated eachother and that he knocked Huck out in sparring and Wegner kept him away from Huck after that, no more sparring.

That sucks. Sounds like he's done right enough. Wrong time to take a year out man, when you are running hot. What's your opinion of Krzysztof?

^Ive read Frenkel suffers from depression

Good article, I'm a big fan of the CW division.

2 of the best fights this year were Huck-Afolabi & Hernandez-Cunningham II :bbb

The top guys fight eachother & there are plenty of good prospects coming through as well

I asked the Cuban posters about him & they told me he was lazy & liked to party a lot :conf

In the UK we've got Danny Price, Steven Simmons, Jon Lewis Dickinson & Matty Askin

This is one of the reasons the talent tap to HW is so sad. CW's that go big don't have to meet the best when they move up because they can make excellent money donig other stuff.
