I might do in the future but I've already got 2 big projects I'm working on so this is more of a fun project that I can use to keep the publishers happy. I'll still do a lot of research and it will be time consuming but if I was to write about a relatively unknown I would need more time than I currently have available and I don't like to cut corners so it's best I leave that till I've finished my other projects.:good

here's what I would consider - Breaking it down among Boxing's LEADING Nations...

    N. America, U.S & Canada
UK, England, Scotland, Ireland (I know it's not UK), Wales
    Austrailia, including S. Africa
    Europe, France, Germany, the rest
    Mexico
    S. America, Argentina, the rest, including Central America.

you see TOO Many spots go to Americans, which is both accurate and INACCURATE. This is basically achievement based, which in itself is erroneously incorrect. Which will also leave your book open to the "usual suspects" and repetative, repetative, repetative...

IF you must go achievement based, AT LEAST dedicate a list of the TOP and Greatest fighters of these other countries, you know the Charley Burley type fighters, who never got a chance - because even "without titles" some of these greats were in fact greater, and there are a good few dozen or more to get ink. Also follow up that chapter/List with mini profiles of these guys!

This would give the book a slant over other like books and there would be NO danger of repetition... I wouldn't purchase yet "another" book spewing out the same stuff we've had for years & years already, but I would not only buy a book with an edge and a different slant but I would also Champion it and recommend it.

Or just each case objectively and independent of an agenda. If all of the top 11 are from America or if they are all from Cornwall then you and I shouldn't give a **** as long as the list is good.

Maybe he should call it the different fighters than what you normally here about book then, rather than the 100 greatest fighters of all time

How can a man that beat Tony Canzoneri, Mushy Callahan for the world title, while also being the man that ended Kid Chocolates 56 fight unbeaten streak and beating Billy Petrolle, and all this just in a 10 month period, not be worthy,

What an ignorant statement to make.

He isn't one of the 100 greatest fighters ever though (not IMO either). Also, horrid to watch.

Ernesto Marcel beat Serrano, Arguello, comprehensively beat Shibata and Gomez and gave a young Duran hassle. He isn't in my top 100 evwer, not being in the top 100 isn't totally dismissing a fighters achievements, there have been lots of quality fighters.

I understand that, and weather he does or does'nt make the final cut, He is still more than worthy to be in contention for a place.
