You know what, I actually like this set up. Definitely a better 'professional' debut for Selby, he'd be in against average journeymen for his first 5 fights, whereas he's here against a lad who's at least here to win and only lost one in 11 pro fights.
yes, doing 1 or 2 seasons of this and then turning "real" pro would be better than fighting 4 and 6 rounders against boxers who havent come to win... unless of course the AIBA gets its way and most of these WSB fighters go on to fight in their new pro championship...?
Ward schooled the guy 3-0 GB lionhearts Barry McGuigan is just itching to get this guy to turn pro in order to sign him
AMazing that some have such "extensive" pro records im very surprised. I like the setup but am reticent the pro game has enough confusion with multiple sanctioning bodies. Soon there will be two "pro" codes as well as amateur and a quasi pro WSB
The Serb definately did enough there, not sure the pro's would suit John Joe's counter punching style
Joe Ward won every round and rocked his man a few times. Looked good:good Nevin I think doesn't have enough power to be fighting at 61kg.
