Cheers for that. Just remembered I was actually at the Excel for his semi-final bout against Ramirez. Thought he was slightly outclassed in that fight, but there's no shame there, Ramirez looked sensational.
Clearly outclassed IMO, but you're right Carrazana is a stud. Had RRC not been in the draw, in Selby vs. Conlan tonight we'd in all probability be seeing an Olympic final rematch!
Dont think i have, ive never been given a warning or anything like that. Norton might of blocked me out but then again i could be banned. Any way to know for sure?
They rotate. Maybe he'd already been in the previous match? I'm not sure how far in advance they know the draw, who they're getting a look at.
You cant fight 2 weeks in a row, I think the minimum allowable gap is 13 days between fights. Lionhearts always have the Olympians at home to help ticket sales. Loma was also a last minute replacement & would probably beat anyone in WSB. Why condemn Nevin to lose then have a 2nd tier LW for a winnable fight the following week?
I thought it was a good learning experience for Maxwell. Away from home vs the #1 amateur in the world. Nevin has got a tough fight tonight, I'm not confident that Maxwell would beat his opponent.
Running order Arro vs Camp Nevin vs Sow Selby vs Conlan Ward vs Calic Joyce vs Gibson 1st fight starting in a moment
Camp stopped in the 2nd round after a nasty cut developed over his right eye. Arro looked like a plodder & was very lucky to be awarded the opening round. 20-18 x3 for Arro 1-0 GB
Disagree with Mo about R1. Arro did indeed look a plodder, but Camp offered little back. I think over five he would have at least been dropped, if not stopped. The headbutt of course makes it academic. (and honestly it was Camp's own doing with the clinching)
