    Missed the first round, thought the second was close but edged it to Ward, third was Ward's, fourth was the algerian's and the fifth was Wards. All in all a poor performance from him. Wonder how much he trained for it.

    Rd 1- Benchabla - lands more and actually manages to out counter Ward in spots particularly at the start if the round
    Rd 2 - Benchabla - no reasonable way you could give it to Ward who was getting beat up in spots
    Rd 3 - Ward - Competitive but Ward's body work wins it for him
    Rd 4 - Benchabla - Ward has been throwing wide sloppy punches ofen times since the 2nd but its even worse this round
    Rd 5 - Ward - largely due to his body work again, both guys are exhausted and look like ****.

    I switched over to the Gutnecht-Braehmer card after Ward lost. Italy won the remaining 2 fights on points without losing a round & win the match 4-1.

    GB are 3rd in their group & face the unbeaten Kazakh team at york hall on thursday night.

    Im a big fan of ward but he looked like a pub brawler at times last night ducking down and throwing huge wild overhand rights that were missing by a mile. His fitness is clearly an issue. I wasnt impressed with his opponent either tbh.
