I can't see Mytrofanov losing, as there wasn't one you could honestly give Tavares in 1-3.

The 4th was a toss-up, and the 5th was Tavares' preferred sort of chaotic melee.

    Official cards:

    48-47
    49-46
    48-47

    UD for Dmytro Mytrofanov.

Interesting. All three judges gave him the 5th, in which he got zapped by a ton of left hand counters and effectively tied up most of the rest of the tie.

Gvozdyk vs Benchabla should be furious like their first 2 fights. Hopefully a dance first.

I thought Mytrofanov easily won the 5th, he landed the clearer, harder shots.

Same Tavares landed some good shots but if anyone was buzzed it was Tavares and i thought Dima landed more.

    Damn.

I'm seeing the Lomachenko vs. Valentino highlights.

    What a savage dissection.

I think the close victory over Selimov was a bit of a wake up call. In the Ukraine training photos during the week Lomachenko looked very focused, he took that into the ring and was the busiest and most aggressive he's been so far in the WSB comp. Complete domination.

The 4th and 5th were flip-a-coin close, so I can see anywhere from 48-47 Mytrofanov to a shutout for him. He clearly took the 1st-3rd, edging the head shots and quite dominant in connections to the body.

In the 4th they slugged, and in the 5th it degenerated into a complete mess where one would land a bomb and they'd immediately clinch, then someone would hit on the break, and repeat over and over. It was more Tavares' comfort zone than Mytrofanov's, whose offense fell apart and became much sloppier than it was in the first three.

    Round 1

Gvozdyk is doubling his jab at Benchabla and curling in an underhanded right to the ribs. Benchabla adopts a wide stance and pivots on the lead foot, circling outside and waving both gloves out defensively to pick Gvozdyk's shots from the air. Slapping hooks wave in from Benchabla, undulating on the way. Flick jabs by Benchabla as he keeps his distance, and long reaching 1-2s that fall short as Gvozdyk backpedals and turns his body aside. Gvozdyk tries timing a Benchabla 1-2 with a counter straight right. Both miss. Benchabla is breathing from his mouth as he backs toward the ropes and waves his fists out in front of his face.

    10-9 Gvozdyk

    Judges 1 & 2 gave it 10-9 to Benchabla.

Jude 3 gave it 10-9 to Gvozdyk.
