    Yes, this is embarrassing.

They have at least one elite LHW, but Gvozdyk is on the lineup for tomorrow in leg 2 of the Finals.

I'm not sure of their depth chart at the weight offhand.

You would think surely there is someone between Gvozdyk and Lapin on the far ends of the spectrum. :conf

    Round 5

Sep is charging into Lapin and blasting him with hard body combos and then rising up with left hooks on his toes as Lapin retreats in straight lines. Lapin keeps leaning in to hold but the smaller man is much stronger and frequently able to simply force him to surrender ground or be steamrolled. Soft counters by Lapin in spurts, getting drilled with hard body hooks all the while and rocked by head shots whenever he ceases backpedaling and/or hugging.

    10-9 Sep

    50-45 Sep

Damn. Why not have Gvozdyk today against Sep and then Poyatskva tomorrow against Rouzbahani, then? :patsch

That was up there with the biggest mismatches I've ever seen in the WSB (or in a long time in boxing, period)

    Sep dominated every second.

I read rumors that Poyatsyka was suspended for getting into a fight outside the ring. Read another variation that he got into the fight with Golub and that was how Golub actually broke his hand. Haven't seen anything to support the claims but it is weird he hasnt been used in the playoffs.

Assuming that Nistor doesn't spring an upset here, the Ukrainians will need to edge the meet tomorrow (best three of five, plausible) to force a tiebreaker.

    If needed it will be:

Alexandr Riscan vs. Bagdad Alimbekov, bantamweights (50-54kg)

Any clear favorite in that? :think

If I'm being perfectly honest I enjoy watching Usyk as much as Lomachenko, and so don't feel as though I missed the day's main attraction. (but rather half of it)

    Round 1

Usyk is dropping the right jab and circling to his left. 1-2-1-2 by Usyk, like a sailor tacking and jibing. Nistor dives in with straight lefts to the body after waiting and watching on the outside as Usyk darts in and out with quick straight volleys before moving around him. Nistor is crouching and tiptoeing forward, jumping up into position with power punches that Usyk is barely dodging with matador turns and countering with 1-2s. Nice stiff jab by Nistor splitting Usyk's guard but significantly out-landed for the most part.

    10-9 Usyk

    Nistor is a bit...pudgy.

We sure he's comparable in p4p terms with Sep?

I can see where the styles resemble each other, but...

Thus far he looks a bit like a bigger, lesser (and fatter) version. :think
