Round 1

Nevin is jumping in and out popping the left jab. Sow is trying to catch him with swatting right hooks, but Nevin is too nimble. Nevin is banging his way out of the catch-and-grab tie ups with left hooks. Nevin ducks a big looping left and holds. Sow is posing in front of him, arms hanging at his sides, shimmying side to side.

All three judges gave it 10-9 to Nevin.

 

Round 2

Messy action. Lots of missing wide and clasping behind the back. Could be a head clash if this keeps up. Nevin settles into a rhythm back-handing his left jab from outside while tilting his head back. Sow is doing the same, aping Nevin with his southpaw jab but not reaching Nevin's chin. Sow tries to poke his way past the Nevin jab and falls in with a 1-2 to the body. Clinch. Nevin is leaning back to dodge and countering with long right hands.

All three judges have it 20-18 to Nevin.

Round 3

Nevin is circling and jabbing from well outside, churning the air in front of Sow's nose. Sow waits for him, tries to spring a trap with big whips from behind the waist. Lots of collision and holding. The only one scoring at all is Nevin when they separate, with the jab, and there only sparingly.

Judges 1 & 3 gave it 10-9 to Nevin and have it 30-27 to Nevin overall.

Judge 2 gave it 10-9 to Sow and has it 29-28 to Nevin overall.

 

Round 4

Nevin is knocking Sow back across the ring with ambush 1-2s, after tracking around him popping light jabs. Sow takes a spill, but it isn't ruled a KD despite a flush lunging cross having caught him ducking back just before. Sow becomes less aggressive by the minute, pulling his upper body away and only leaping in with body shots around the side when Nevin walks him onto the ropes. BIG right hand by Nevin, snapping Sow's head back.

Round 5

Nevin lands a quick 1-2. Sow is stepping inside again, getting braver and looping a shot into Nevin's unprotected face. Nevin starts to put more punches together, adding a left hook to cap off his 1-2. Sow is moving directly into the hook and getting swung clean around by it. Nevin dances back on his toes and catches Sow rushing after with another left hook. Sow gets close and hugs Nevin. Split. A bit of flurrying by both. Another clinch. Right hand over the top by Nevin. Wild lunges by Sow. They trade uppercuts and Nevin is jolted backward but keeps his legs under him.
