    Usyk lures Medzhidov to the ropes, unleashes his southpaw 1-2, and quickly dives under his counter right into a dead run to get behind him and reset. Usyk is looking much lighter on his feet and freer in his movements. Very relaxed poise by Usyk, and with constant awareness of Medzhidov's fists, able to anticipate and slip shots that aren't even particularly telegraphed.

    Usyk fought Medzhidov and scored a shutout and even landed some shots that Medzhidov seemed to feel. That was amazing, beautiful and Oleksandr Usyk is the ****ing man. With a nice little Hopka to celebrate lol

    Usyk is an outstanding fighter, is he planning on turning pro when Lomachenko does after the WSB anyone know?

    Think he might be a little small for the heavyweight division, but he's far more skilled than anyone in the division, with possible exception of Wlad

    So has Mezhidov been injured this season? He only had a few matches all year.

    Not that i know of, they have two other quality HW's and have shared the work although it is sort of weird that the two times Medzhidov fought during the regular season was back to back in weeks 3 and 4.

    great performance from the ukrainians a little bit dissapointed with gvozdyk but he pulled out the KO in the end!!! usyk, mytrofanov and butsenko looked tremendous and berinchek fight was dirty but he looked very good nonetheless!!!! a very proud ukrainian tonight!!! and to whoever asked about Usyk going pro, i think he is turning pro at the same time as Lomachenko!!!!

    Usyk exceeded my expectations. I have been been real big on Mezhidov for some time now but Usyk really showed his stuff.

    Officially drooling for him as a pro...

    I can understand cheering yourself when you score a knockdown but it's pretty ridiculous to do it just because you got a clean tap in.

    I'm talking about Britain vs Mexico of course.

    I don't think I've ever seen a heavyweight as skilled as Usyk, especially defensively.

    Hopefully Usyk goes pro after this although he may be thinking about moving up to super heavyweight to compete in the olympics after this. Either way he's been the star of the show for this WSB. I see a few comments saying Usyk couldn't compete with the big heavies in the pros. Nonsense I say. You only have to look at his last two fights. He reminds me a bit of a young Chagaev.

    Usyk and Lomachenko have both said that they have no interest in competing in the amateurs anymore.
