Round 3

Snigur is chasing Polanco, keeping his base of gravity at low-altitude and winging in hard pendulums to the body. Polanco tries skirting around the perimeter barely touching the ropes and Snigur uses some quick slide-steps to the side to cut off his route. Lots of clinching now by Polanco. Snigur tries to work out of it without referee intervention. Polanco drops a cheeky right hand on him while pulling straight back and then pauses to admire his work. Snigur begins moving forward in a low squat and Polanco scrambles to flee.

All three judges gave it 10-9 to Snigur and have it 30-27 to Snigur overall.

 

Why did they even call upon Polanco at such an important time? Do the Condors not have any better middleweights than him? :huh

 

Round 4

Snigur is walking Polanco down and slipping his wide desperately swept out jab. Hard sickles to the body by Snigur as he leans in with Polanco leaning and strong-arming down on the back of his head. Nice cross-armed defense in the pocket by Snigur, catching wild right haymakers from Polanco on his palm and tilting his skull to either side while patiently waiting for his spot to open up. Polanco ducks under a flurry and ties up.

All three judges gave it 10-9 to Snigur and have it 40-36 to Snigur overall.

 

Pathetic effort from HDP.

No wonder he's 0-2 in WSB and ranked 39th of 46.

 

Round 5

Snigur is whipping out jabs like circus daggers, forcing Polanco to roam for safety while flopping his entire upper half deeply to either side past the waist in rubbery fashion. Polanco gets very desperate to keep Snigur off, even switching southpaw and flicking a few right jabs. Snigur is on top of him no matter where he goes, touching him with chops and pecks. Polanco is spoiling like crazy. Flush jab to the forehead by Snigur. Polanco pulls straight back out of the pocket and lands a left hook. Body shots by Snigur while leaning in.

They showed a graphic listing it as a Home victory, but we never got Yerzhan Mussafirov vs. Brian Ivan Nuñez, did we?

 

Oh, I see now - it's a walkover. So Nuñez must have been injured or unable to compete somehow.

So Kazakhstan is up 3-0 already.

I believe that means Argentina is mathematically eliminated. Didn't they need at least 2 of 5 today?
