Romero is catching Maxwell's 1-2-1-2 drumbeats and pushed out double jabs on his gloves, then crashing up top with powerful hooks. Big scything body combo by Romero. Maxwell jumps back into a squat, then propels himself into a clinch. Romero keeps working the body with one arm held.

Round 4

Romero is firing hard rights up top on the outside. Romero bodies up against Maxwell and thumps with several unanswered body shots. Maxwell pushes backward and drifts in either direction uncertainly before leaning forward into Romero and tying up again. Romero advances behind a high guard. Maxwell jabs, blocked. Counter jab by Romero. Big slashing flurry by Romero from body up to head and back down. Maxwell scoots back, jittery. Maxwell jabs and hooks off the jab moving backward. Romero catches him with a high right hand. Left rip to the body by Romero.

All three judges gave it 10-9 to Romero and have it 40-36 to Romero overall.

 

Great Britain doesn't need to panic yet. They only need one bout of the remaining three so they can force a tiebreaker. Two of three, and they'll advance without even needing a tiebreaker.

 

Round 5

Romero is hammering away on Maxwell and getting jabbed and grabbed constantly. The ref is in there warning both to watch their elbows and heads. Romero drops a right hand across Maxwell's brow. Romero pushes Maxwell back across the ring, nearly into a corner and nails him with another big right hand.

Round 1

Cabrera is tight with his defense moving forward, catching Arro's wild left hooks on the arms before snapping out his right jab or delivering right hooks into the pale albino spikes of hair on Arro's scalp or his milky abdomen. Arro charges in, getting hit with body shots as he winds up an overhand left hook but never gets a chance to get off with it before Cabrera ducks and swerves off to his left. More counter right hooks to the body by Cabrera as Arro takes mad dashes inside.
