Ya his opponent is good but i slightly favor Stretskyy. His opponent is more of a pure boxer who doesnt like engaging, Stretskyy should be just as athletic, quick and have boxing skills on par but his pressure, punching power and general ruggedness will allow him to impose himself imo.

Rudenkiy/Abdullayev interests me too to see how good Dmytro really is.

Ah I see. In the fixtures section it still has the Lomachenko bout as second. If it is last at least it builds the anticipation I guess, could also make it the decider between the two teams :think
    Shame for IB though.

    :good

I often try to explain to people the difference between translation (relating to meanings of words) and transliteration (converting text from one alphabet to another) and get blank stares.

Like when people argue over the "correct" spelling of Wladimir Klitschko in English.

It's like, well, if you were spelling it correctly you'd be using Cyrillic. :nut

There usually isn't a "right" transliteration, because it's by nature the process of interpreting a word in a foreign alphabet thus losing any technical correctness. The best you can do is cleave to phonetic sounding, so "Volodameer Kleechkoh" would actually be just as legit as anything else.

    1. Why are they playing Empire State of Mind at full blast in the arena? Is Beyonce big in Azerbaijan? :huh

    2. Why is the place empty? There are maybe thirty spectators.

    Round 1

Kurbanov is throwing hard lead rights from a side holster, obscuring his arm from Riscan's view before throwing. Kurbanov is very aggressive, throwing hooks and jabs off his right hand. Riscan tries to counter with southpaw hooks up top while leaning back, but Kurbanov's volume is carrying the round.

    10-9 Kurbanov

Very true expect for your Klychko example. The way you did it doesn't correspond to the phonetic sound and Wladimir and Klitschko are both German transliterations that don't apply to English.

    Round 1

Body shots by Kurbanov. Right hand, left hook combos by Kurbanov. Riscan leans over for leverage and corks in a right hook. Kurbanov is switching stances coming forward, laying his power all over Riscan and driving him to the ropes. Hard high hook to the head and Riscan goes to his knees!! He receives a standing eight count. Kurbanov continues to assail him for the last minute, making Riscan shell up on the ropes getting bombed.

    10-8 Kurbanov

    20-17 Kurbanov

    Riscan is in the blue...

The 1st was closer than the 2nd, obviously, but I still thought Kurbanov was making him do a deer in headlights impression for most of it. (although yes I realize I accidentally put "10-9 Riscan" by mistake when submitting the post)
