Italy's BW Limone came in overweight so as per WSB rules it's been officially ruled as a loss for Italy. Butsenko vs Limone is still going to happen but it's simply an exibition bout now.

Nope. Stretskyy looked good in his first fight but shitty in his last one against a tall, southpaw counterpuncher. Mangiacapre is a counterpuncher but orthodox and a couple inches shorter. I had the impression that in his last fight his opponent also being a southpaw was causing him more problems than anything else and we will find out today probably. 4-1 Ukraine in the main fights seems likely and i expect it will be decided by that extra bout. ****ing sucks Golub isn't fighting.

i know it is very strange that ukraine didnt pick golub to represent them, maybe he is injured and havent heard about it.... if it will be a close bout im sure the ukrainian will get it as he is fighting at home

Watched the fight between the WSB champions Derevyanchenko and Mytrofanov froma few months back. One of the biggest robbery's ive seen in the WSB. I had it 4-1 for the Ukranian, he just outfought and busted up the Derevychneko on the inside throughout the entire fight, negating the more technical Russians straight punching with very good head movement, and staying in his chest. By the end of it the Russian was marked up like he'd gone 12 rounds.

I assume if Ukraine and Kazakhstan, both win their semi finals, they'll both meet in the final again? Would be a great chance for revenge for Mytrofanov.

I had it 4-1 too, 3-2 was possible but no way i could see Derevyanchenko winning it. He's Ukrainian too btw, Derevyanchenko was Ukraine's MW on the National team from about 2007-2010.

It's started. Ukraine already won this BW fight because Limone failed to make weight

Lovely round from Vasya, competitive as one would expect though.
