Have not watched the world series of boxing before and intend on starting with tonight's clash of the British vs Chinese franchises. Just wanted to know more about who people are backing to win the tournament overall and if anyone has a list of say 5-10 names to look out for in the tournament? Thanks guys :good :thumbsup

Is 81kg that weak or is he just that good?
Yeah heard a lot about WSB and thought it deserved a watch and after seeing the Olympics and commonwealth games boxing which was good and also watching more pro boxing now too I thought I would become knowledgeable at amateur level too.
Who is your standout fighter for the tournament?
Thanks for the info too! :thumbsup

If I enjoy this I will watch APB too, I think judging bias effects every level so its something you have to kind of get used to but good judging would be nice to see regardless of where it is held

Miras's best days are behind him. Olzhas Sattybayev (Kazakh) is much better.

He just won Kazakh national championship month ago. Miras Zhakupov won the bronze medal.

But #1 in that weight category Ilyas Suleimenov didn't take part in that championship. Suleimenov and Sattybayev have had an interesting rivalry together.

Watched the first fight was very good. I like the set up of it all except maybe the foreign fighter thing, just have boxers from your own nations. That would make more sense to me

When its put like that I suppose you are right, Qais Ashfaq for the British Lionhearts was very impressive, Reminds me of Khan a lot good speed of hand and foot and throws punches in bunches

Sam Maxwell is a pretty good rangy boxer, good quick hands and straight shots, its a pity he couldn't crack an a egg though.

Michael Conlan is very good though, have seen him a few times before. Have been surprised with some of the scoring, 10-8 rounds given way too easily as well. Maxwell looked great

Spose wouldn't have given them 10-8 myself but Fowler is very much Carl Froch 2.0. Technically smoother, likes to get behind the jab and loves a tear up from what I saw there, looks good

Not impressed with Italy's roster. I understand that Russo is in APB, but where are Valentino and Cammarelle?

Cuba is obviously the team to look for.

So most of the elite Italians are in APB now.

I don't know, but I think that Cammarelle said that he aims at Rio 2016. Wouldn't be surprised if he decided to retire.
