Valentino got dominated by David Oliver Joyce a few weeks back. Dont think he's that big of a loss anymore.
Last weekend the 5th Season of the World Series of Boxing started. I've seen a couple of matches and I was impressed by the level of competition. Also the best fighters in the WSB will qualify for the 2016 Olympics. The results for week 1: Group A: British Lionhearts - China Dragons 3-2 Ukraine Otamans - Mexico Guerreros 4-1 Cuba Domadores - Morocco Atlas Lions 5-0 Group B: Puerto Rico Hurricanes - Rafako Husars Poland 3-2 Astana Arlans Kazachstan - Caciques Venezuela 5-0 Argentina Condors - USA Knockouts 1-4 Azerbeijan Baku Fires - Italia Thunder Boxing Team 4-1 I think Cuba and Kazachstan are the favourites for this season, with USA, Great Britain, Russia, Ukraine and Azerbeijan as dark horses. Italia was very dissapointing with a terrible display by Bronze medal winner Vencinzo Mangiacapre and an unexpected loss by the Irish Michael Conlan. Cuba was impressive with easy victories and a hard knock-out by Heavyweight Erislandy Savon. It's going to be an exciting season and everything can be watched live and for free on http://www.aibaboxingtv.com/ :good

Ukraine Otamans - British Lionhearts has started with a nice match between Andrew Selby and Azat Usenaliev in the Flyweights
Italy is very possibly at its weakest point. Still, they should be able to be top 4 in the group stage.
Team Cuba: Julio Cesar La Cruz (light heavy, possibly #1 P4P in WSB) Lazaro Alvarez (lightweight) Roniel Iglesias (welter) Arisnoidys Despaigne (welter) Yasnier Toledo (light welter) Arlen Lopez (middleweight) Erislandy Savon (heavyweight) Team Kazakhstan: Daniyar Yeleussinov (welter, him vs. Iglesias will be great if it happens) Zhanibek Alimkhanuly - (middleweight) Filip Hrgovic - (super heavy from Croatia) I follow Italy as well but the team is not that good this year.
Actually Cubans have more or less always been about #1, so it's hard to say. Their team from the 90s is probably the mot dominant ever.
