    [ame]http://it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sonny_Liston[/ame]

    It's in italian and I don't understand a **** :D

Just look at the length of this. It's much bigger than english article!

From what I could notice, this italian version has some rare infos about Sonny...anyone care to translate please? :D

"If he would stop hollering, he wouldn't have a hernia" - I think that we could find there many more gems like that

"Witnesses reported that the policeman pleaded not to kill him in the mud Liston."

"From secondary sources that was even hard to find sparring partners for his workouts. For $ 50 young boxers did not want to be manhandled from the sample."

Okay, the translator may not be perfect haha, but it does the job. It's just a pretty good bio, nothing outstanding. Some very interesting speculation about Sonny possibly having taken on the identity of one of his brothers.

The translator is brilliant. This one had me in stitches.

    'The sample that nobody wanted'

Sounds like a sad film about a sperm donation bank.

  8. the translation is much better and more accurate italian-spanish than italian-english

Awesome isn't it? Although some of it appears more cutting and true for it's weird autonomy:

" The rise at the very least exaggerated former convict could look like the revenge of the slums on the American dream, the triumph of dishonesty on the virtue, the reversal of the logic of civilization."

    Nice, eh?

I'm collecting materials about Liston from 2 years for my work about Sonny, I've read dozens of articles, FBI files, biographies, watched documents, all availble fights and after 2 years I found almost everything in one place. Irony.

I used to work at The Pines, South Fallsburg, New York.
A resort up in the Catskills.
Where Sonny trained for the Liston-Patterson fights.
    Primarily the Chicago fight.
The stories here were beautiful about Sonny and his little
'mob entourage' hanging out at the small-town Rexall drug store/luncheonette.
