atlas overplays the "mental weakness" card way too much. he thinks because wlad is cautious and not very punch-resistant, he is crap. atlas completely ignores wlad's skills, physical attributes and experience. he likes tough guys:gayfight
Yeah, I also don't think he's a hater. He just took a chance to try and look like a genius (by picking a big underdog), and last night he stuck to his guns to try and look consistent. You know how stubborn those NY cats can be.
Atlas was prety dumb to pick Thompson over Wladdy, but I agreed with the majority of what he said last night. He was just pointing out the obvious; Klitschko is a very flawed and unspectacular fighter.
Atlas was right, Klitschko was breaking down, mentally that is. Look at what he was doing all night, playing around and even tried roughhousing. This was against an opponent who didn't come to fight. George Foreman would have blasted Thompson out of there the first round. Klitschko could have also if he had made the effort. Why wait to the 11th? If Thompson had come to fight there would have been a different ending.
Teddy atlas is a stupid ***** he trys to say he got that scar not from a knife but i heard it was from a slap from klit
Wait, so Klitschko was breaking down mentally even through he seemed to get stronger, more relaxed and more confident as the fight wore on?
Teddy Atlas would pick any opponent of Klitschko's to beat him. He's picked against Klitschko in every recent fight. Then when he's proven wrong, again, he tries to play down the victory. :yep
Exactly. I can't believe these haters in here...................51 wins, 45 by KO against only 3 losses.................
Well I'm going to predict that Teddy chooses against Klitschko again.................regardless of who he fights.
I think that you could argue that he is just past his absolute physical peak. Scientifically, it SHOULD be the case. Is it possible he's a tiny shade slower than he used to be? Possibly.
Lots of people expected WLAD to dominate Thompson like Brock...certain rounds were given to KLIT for suposedly landing less but "more meaningful" punches, which also could be interpreted as, he was being outworked in some instances. Thompson was in there until he faded. Not everyone agrees with the way the fight was being scored, during the first half. Still a clear KLIT victory, and Atlas' point is understood.
