He has the best chance out of any of the Heavyweights around now (if he steps in with them). This is boxing...anything can happen.

Well every man and his dog including me wish Haye would put boxing before business, but he never has. We will all ***** until he fights one of the brothers. Lets face it though you will all watch the fight and a few more people will sit up and join the queue even now. He will fight because he loves money. The brothers will fight because they love money and to call the shots. With Haye they do not call the shots they will just have to settle for money.

In the end the brothers will cave in and be mad with Haye because he will dominate outside of the ring. He should be a poor second but he is not, without him the brothers
    big pay day is missing.

It will happen and everybody will watch.

    That's the issue though: why?

How is Haye any different to any other HW at the moment? he's not undefeated. he hasn't fought good HW competition. he's looked weak in those fights- Barrett knocked him down, Ruiz had him against the rope and Valuev made him run not box.

Haye hasn't done anything to show a reasonable person why he is the legitimate threat to the Klits above any other HW imo. Turning up to Wlad's charity event and making oily homo erotic youtube video do not cut it in my book. The Klits have fought many HW's in shape and the result has been the same.

We can't base Haye on how he looks. If that were the case jeff Lacy would have beaten Calzaghe - any logical boxing fan knows a calvin klein body doies not equate to skillfull boxing.

This is a good post. :good you see Montero has actually broken it down and analyzed the styles. Nobody else has done that they didn't even consider it. This is a good post and was precisely the response I was looking for when making this thread. a reasonable assessment. The problem is the majority here cannot do that as the previous 3+ pages show

He can't. Last summer I was willing to beleive, but the last year and a bit had shown he hasn't got a prayer. You could say he's got a punchers chance but even then his power doesn't seem to have carried up to well, people can say Wlad or Vitali have taken a long time to put recent opponents away but they fight methodically, Haye was hitting John Ruiz with his Sunday punch for 8 rounds and still didn't get a proper KO. And that's John Ruiz, a smaller guy and not exactly elusive. It honestly embarasses me to see almost all my fellow British posters still bang the drum for this guy just because he was born on the same miserable, rainy little island as us.

He has speed, he has explosive power...he doesn't come plodding forward like the majority of Heavyweights about now. He can use movement and angles, and when he gets it right...he has good-ish reflexes.

Undefeated doesn't mean anything really...the Klitschko's aren't undefeated, Adamek isn't undefeated, etc. I'd say it was ok/good competition so far. The Barrett bout was what his 2nd bout at Heavy? that's an ok win. The Valuev win was a good, albeit close victory...the size and weight disadvantage alone makes that a good win. Ruiz was a mandatory, that was an ok win.

He hasn't looked outstanding these bouts, but he has shown good speed and power...and has impressed me more than say Adamek, or any of the other contenders.

I'd give him a shot against both Klitschko's, but nothing more...he has to be on top form, and has to fight out of his skin.

Ah sorry mate i must have messed that. Good breakdown though, especially liked the Vitali comments. We've yet to see Haye up his workrate and that's the big question for his fight against Vitali (for me) :thumbsup

It's bloody simple Haye hit him a lot more than valuev hit haye and haye made him miss and look silly in doing it it's the definition of a clear victory

Yep...this Harrison bout may turn out to be a very valuable experience for Haye. Up his workrate and maybe try new things against a taller opponent.

So from everything I post you cherrypick that one line to suit your agenda

The thing is, no one was bigging up Haye's record. YOu were shitting on it whilst at the same time bragging about Vitali's achievements. I showed you that Vitali's record really isn't all that and you couldn't handle it.

    A few things...
Haye was not "KTFO by a LHW". He was stopped on his feet against a CW. Sosnowski was not stopped by Lawrence, he lost on points.

How about this, Sosnowski has 40 something fights, all as a HW. Haye has 4 HW fights. Yet in those 4 fights Haye has achieved more than Sosnowski ever has :deal
