Physically and technically he looks fine, just like the old days but the problem is inside him. His sharpness, punch resistance etc has gone. Guy needs to retire.
Holyfield quit in his corner against Sherman "The Tank" Williams, yes, he has a very, very small cut and quit. He was hurt, shaken, would have been knocked out! He needs to retire ASAP!
could not see Holmes quitting even now, Holyfield is making himself to look a complete twat. needs to reire now
He's got about 12 kids, all with names beginning with E & all need supporting. He's been married & divorced several times, giving away millions in the process, he's also lost a bundle of money in various business ventures. He has earnt well over $100m but has very little left, as long as he is physically able he'll keep fighting. Taken from the end of his book.... " I've got the right to persue my goal & I know what I'm doing. It's possible I might get hurt along the way, but thats always been a possibilty & you know what? That's my business. I've had a pretty good life minding it my own way. I've had a great life following my faith & my instincts & thats what I plan to continue doing."
"He should of got his shot when he beat Valuev, Holyfield has been discriminated against" What he has done past the age of 40! has been by far! By far more impressive than Bernard Hopkins, that ****. Holyfield is a old school small heavyweight, no matter what anybody says has survive in the most brutal, dangerous, division on the planet for a very very long time" He's still commanding first officer of the United States special Forces. Evander "The Commander" Holyfield.
a lot of wrongs happened the night he fought valuev. he was robbed of his place in the highlights of boxing history by being the oldest heavyweight champ ever and also a 6 time world champ, 5 of them heavyweight titles....and having won his first world title in 1986 it would have made a 2008 victory over valuev an unprecedented 22 years between world titles !! holyfield took that defeat and all that was robbed from him that night (a lot) like a champ but even more than that, it'll probably end up damaging him for life, because i believe holyfield would have retired contented after that night having achieved his goal, but now continues on, and he will end up in the ring against a top contender who will do him serious damage. and its a shame really.
Why did'nt he get a shot at the Kiltschko's back then..? i just don't understand it. Evander Holyfield has always been in excellent health and fitness past his 40's, if it was on general conditioning alone, what he has done past 40 is immense. Like i stated before..? Evander Holyfield has suffered discrimination, and has been stigmatised. That he is half brain dead, and in poor health..? If most of you mugs, all you mugs on this forum who have bought into that..? would of evaluated his career and his interviews..? You would all know and realise that Evander Holyfield was fine, and is by no means your average 49 year old. I'm sick and tired of all this praise Bernard Hopkins gets, when Holyfield at basically the same age, was fighting in the heavyweight division and giving away 8 stone, and still beating the beast that is Valuev. I'm sick of that wanker Hopkins.
He looked absolutely shot against Sherman Williams and I haven't watched him since. he needs to retire, I give him no chance against either Klit and not much against pretend champ Povetkin. His last chance was against Valuev and he was on the wrong end of a bogus decision. I'd like to see him retire but he is a full grown adult and can make his own mind up, Ill do my part by not watching him fight again. Maybe's legend killer Denis Lededev can move up and finish the job on him.
Evander Holyfield has earned a title shot. For being the last man standing from the great 90's generation, still the commander Evander Holfyfield.
