    Kats needs to fight some shopworn opponents with a little bit of skill to polish his game up without losing.

    Katsidis loses to live opponents...

    And Casamayor was shot as well according to a lot of people.

    I agree. Looking at his last fight it looks like he barely just got by an unknown fighter. Boxrec isn't always correct so hopefully this is just a rumor at this point.

    Chavez is a warrior no dout but he's done. He looked horrible against Diaz before the fight was stopped.

    Chavez may still have something to offer? At his best he was quality at coming forward, had some class in his work. Well past it now though im guessing, and fighting past his best weight also.

    Again, many fans have many definitions of a shot fighter. Casa is not shot. Remember, he looked very bad with an opponent that Chico was commentating at ESPN. Everyone thought Casa was shot and finished and look what he did to Chico afterward. The same with the fighter named Cruz and then he beats a fighter who was suppose to win in Katsidis. We already discussed a few days ago about off nights which I believe in. Either that or Casa is really a cat and has about five to six more lives. Chavez has no business in fighting Katsidis. He just returned and had one fight and now he is going to be thrown in with Katsidis. Some one must not like Chavez too much. I know Chavez won a title at 135, but at this weight, he does not perform very well.

    Agreed. Katsidis had a good shot against Casamayor, but he was open to hit.. This would be a good fight to work on his defense and against an experienced fighter.. Katsidis late round tko..

    I actually picked Casa to beat Kats due to styles. Chavez on the other hand is a different type of fighter and will usually have a shorter career than a slick fighter like Casa.

    I can thnk of less dangerous stay busy fights than this one for Katsidis. I hope he trains hard and doesn't take Chavez lightly.
