But in hindsight i remember leading up to the fight there wasnt that much excitement in forums or in the general public. Hatton vs floyd and floyd vs oscar had interest everywhere for months before the fight. thats usually a good indication on how ppv will do. Ur right though floyd has huge ppv numbers coz of the mad fanbases of hatton marquez and oscar.

A 50/50 pac-floyd purse split would be completely fair as i feel they are both as big a draw as each other.

 

Mayweather did 2.4 with DLH. Pac did under a million. Trinidad did 1.4 million. This debate ended long ago.

 

Floyd Mayweather did just as much with Shane mosley as Pacquiao did with Oscar.

Bob Arum already said that his people reported to him that the African-American fanbase bought the Mayweather-Marquez fight. Mayweather has the second highest average of PPV sales behind Tyson in history. Looking at the actual numbers tell you that you're wrong.
