:huh that fight was a joke, or was it fixed ?
how the hell did clottey think he was going to win by throwing 6 punches around.then his corner tells him he is losing every round and he says " No Im Not " lol.he stayed in that shell all night, so you mean to tell me that clottey must have felt manny power and was scared to exchange, lead or counter ?
or is clottey the type fighter that likes to place his shots so well that if he cant see an openeing he want take the shot ?

the way he fought disgusted big time, he kisses manny ass the whole pre fight crap.just in total aww of manny, not even sounding like he wanted to win.then at the weight everyone is all lovey dubby so that was gay as well.then they shake hands after every round :tired

if clottey was going to act like that i really wish manny would have knocked his purple ass out.the loss a 20 bet as well, so i could not even get in the club after the fight.police pulling ova black folks left and right man was a shity night.

clottey must have felt something in blocking mannys punches but and was scared to fight, or maybe manny was to fast and when clottey would look to counter manny was gone already.is that it :huh

another sparring session for manny, mayweather gone go through some hell to pull of a win against mosley.i said i would give manny credit if he won the fight but no one sayed clottey would not punch.

there is always some seaky bull **** that happens when it comes fight time.they got in hte ring with manny and get beat up.i want my money back clottey.

That's the way he fights. It looked more ridiculous since Manny was throwing so many punches.

But he's employed the same strategy is all of his other fights and has had major success. He arguably beat Cotto, he dominated Judah, etc. The difference is that Manny wasn't giving him a stationary target and he was ripping shots to his body at a relentless pace. Manny also showed ridiculous stamina. He was throwing a 100+ punches a round to the very end bell. Against a passive defense fighter like Clottey, there ain't much you can do about that.

But I agree that he could have put a little more effort in to at least make the fight more enjoyable to watch.

Of.. Blocking/Cover-up & not hitting back, getting tired & throwing only 20 punches per rd.
wasting peoples time & never doing enough yet telling everyone that NEXT time will be different....ect

what was clottey's punch output in previous fights, was it around 33 punches per round or closer to 42. Clottey never has really had the hunger to go out and win fights, just look at the cotto fight. I think Cotto won that fight because he will still cut pretty bad and still got the courage to throw. Defensive fighters will have a hard time winning against pacman because of his agressiveness.

I said I give any credit to any fighter being a professional fighter. I also said you can't choose who is the top 10 so in that regard, I give Manny some credit. Clottey was a top 10 welterweight, although I have always felt he was over-rated.

I never said Clottey was a deserving opponent however. I also said from the get go that this fight would not be remotely competitive. This fight was a joke as soon as it was signed.

Pacquiao gets credit for beat Clottey, fine. Now he should stop ducking Mayweather and fight him. Pacquiao needs to stop being a *****. Bob Arum is a major piece of **** as well.

I don't think anybody would have been pissed if it were on HBO regular.

The problem was it being PPV. It stunk on paper and people still bought the ****.

Those of you who did should really be ashamed of yourselves.

And to keep it fair, the Mosley-Mayweather fight is also a bull**** fight.

    Grandmaster of excuses. lol

I don't know why people are so surprised, Clottey always fights not to lose, he's probabily just happy to say he wasn't stopped by Pacquaio, i don't see why people are asking him to be something he's not we've seen enough of him now to realise thats just who he is and ain't suddenly gonna turn to Arron Pryor.

I thought he did all he could with his limitation and considering what he was up against, we all called it from the get go so why is everyone complaining?

I do think Pac had a lot to do with Clotteys showing.... i think Clottey felt his power and the speed made him stiffer then usual, but im not aleviating the fact that Clottey should have 'risen to the occasion', but i do think one should credit Pac for the performence, with Clottey not willing to go through the fire to make Pac back off a bit, he allowed Pac to bombard him all night, which naturally resulted in him hiding his face for 80% of the fight.

Pac did the best he could with what he had in front of him and Clottey showed once again why he hasnt won the big fights.
