Well fighting top rated opponents was what people wanted him to do. So what is the problem? Better fight for the WBC than wait to get shot against Wlad for a year
Good point, and it might get Haye a belt of his own if Vitali pulls out & he fights Peter. That would give Haye some neg. power if/when a fight against Wlad is being worked out. Haye's chances vs. Vitali are very slim but vs. Peter he'd have a decent chance to outspeed the palooka.
I think he should shut his trap and fight first. He hasn't proved anything yet except flap his gums and talk a good game but lets see him take one on the chin from a good heavy and see if he can take it.
It's unlikely we'll ever see that Vitali again, so Haye might be onto something. (If it's the old Vitali, Haye could lose before the ref finishes giving the instructions)
One thing to remember guys...This is NOT the same Vitali who fought Lewis or Johnson or Sanders. Vitali can barely sneeze w/o injuring himself. Not to mention, he was more of a plodder even when healthy. Movement isn't his thing. I think Haye would be a live dog to win an ugly and boring fight.
