He is an entertaining fighter but gets best by Taylor, Prograis, Hooker etc. Bob is trying to get him to hold the belt until Loma or Teofimo are ready to move up and claim it.
Ramirez didn't really duck Prograis. True, Arum wanted to postpone it, but Regis is the one who walked away. Prograis had the balls to sign up for the WBSS, same can´t be said about Ramirez. Arum knows Ramirez is limited and there is little he can do with him(the ESPN ratings have been poor). Makes sense to match him up with the more popular Beltran. Hooker vs Ramirez would be fun as hell.
Lol ESPN ranked Jose Ramirez #1 at 140 and Dan Rafael said what separated him was his superior resume compared to the rest.. ESPNs Top Rank bias might become the new Golden Boy/Ring bias..
A lot of the top guys are wrapped up with the wbss tournament so he gets a pass there for now. Hooker I think takes his block off and has a fight in early March (realistically that fight could be made but doubt it will). Is Postol still at 140 that fight would be a bit better than Beltran at 140.

How is that guy even still alive, same with Don King. King looked like an old SOB at Foreman-Frazier. Arum looked like an old SOB when he was promoting Evel Kneivel stunts.
