I don't see any drive in him. He doesn't come accross as a fighter who has anything burning inside him (fame, money, legacy).

 

What did you expect? He's on HBO now, the network of inactivity. When he was on Showtime, he was very active. Now look at him.

 

To be fair he had the Pascal rematch lined up, which Pascal was legally binded to, before the corrupt WBC-GBP decision for an immediate Hopkins-Pascal rematch ****ed things up for him.

He better hope Pascal wins if he wants his title back. Hopkins will never face him. If he's fighting Diaconu that's a good fight. Diaconu was hyped up when was undefeated as a guy Chad was ducking. It should be an interesting fight.

 

Unfortunately, mentally weak fighters can never be corrected.


It is easier to correct a flaw in skillset, but a fighter who is mentally weak will always be like that. Otherwise, they could make Judah, Freitas, Cintron ATG.
