The ring article says that Ariza consults with a UCLA trained nutritionist and another fitness expert from San Diego State. No one, hence your speculation is as good as my non-speculation. The UCLA trained nutritionist seem to be very errr hands-on in regards to Pac's training: http://www.teritom.com/index1000.html The above picture *suggests* the she seem to be doing that. Ariza said that he is working with Teri Tom (Sports Nutritionist, graduated Summa Cum Laude from UCLA http://www.teritom.com/index1000.html ) and a Kinesioligist from San Diego State.
Please Cali, welcome to the real world. There is'nt any way that any university can track and be held responsible for the actions of their graduates. .....now if you tell me that these graduates actually are getting a paycheck and work for UCLA right now, then its a different story and certainly UCLA can be held to some responsibility in the matter.
Bullocks, with all due respect, that tool is a measuring device that helps in calculating body composition and fat content. The tool does not puncture the skin. .....and as I've mentioned to Cali, that lady is a UCLA graduate, but does not work for UCLA.
Whilst other sports have quickly adapted the latest in training and nutrition technology, most of boxing training and nutrition are still done the traditional way. This explains why records and milestones are constantly being bettered and broken in other sports while beating somebody two weight classes bigger is still being looked at as extraordinary and with suspicion of cheating in boxing. As more and more boxers learn from Pac's scientific training and nutritional regimen, I wouldn't be surprised to see other boxers in the future to come close to what (or possibly even better) Pac has accomplished.
I was suggesting earlier that I would think that certain levels of things that would require blood samples and thus the needle, would be required to know exactly what Pacquiao's body needed to adjust his vitamin, nutrient, and supplemental intake. ......but since that whole Pacquiao team has boxed themselves in a corner claiming that Pac does'nt like intrusive procedures, it would be a stretch to believe that a nutritional team is now being able to monitor Pacquiao's bodily needs without being intrusive. Pac claims to be afraid and superstitious of all sorts of things, but yet we are to believe that a nutritional team is now being able to help Pac perform physical feats never performed by another fighter without the aid of a simple thing as monitoring his blood.:huh
I respect the perspective that some have that Ariza is simply using the information available to him, has a team of experts assisting etc. There is no question that this strategy would be effective to a certain degree. That being said Ariza is not generally accepted as one of the "elite" in his field, guys like Doug Zimmerman or Darin Steen, or organizations like ELITE, etc. I'm saying, he's not the premier personal trainer in the world, as viewed by his peers. He indirectly links Pac's success to these "shakes" that only he knows the ingridients, creates doubt for me. Ariza could ultimately be the downfall of Pac, not saying he WILL but I think there is reason to believe he COULD. I don't trust Ariza, just my personal opinion.
It was Koncz who said that Pac was afraid of needles. Team Pac's handling of the first negotiation and the way they argued against Floyd's blood testing demand was amateurish. Everybody who is even remotely connected to Pac were giving their opinions about it and most of them were quoted by the press. I can understand why some people can be suspicious of Pac because of this. However, Pac has agreed to all of Floyd's testing demands so I think rehashing the inconsistencies from Team Pac during the first round of negotiations is becoming pointless.
I've been saying it for weeks now.......all Ariza is doing by tooting his own horn is creating even more suspicioun. ......but I guess Ariza feels compelled to say something as to how Pacquiao is being abled, and how he will be able to bring down a much bigger fighter like Antonio Margarito. I guess just saying "hard work" in regards to questions on how Pac does it, can only go so far, that he feels he has to say more.:?
it is hard to explain to haters how this scientific thing works. specifically those who didn't go to a university and relies on "google university" and " I hate pacquiao because he whooped my BF university" or "I hate pacquiao because I am a flhomo university". combine all these elements and you have a super dumb factor LOL
