WTF is it with these titles like Super World, Diamond, Silver, Interim....
As if it wasn't a God awful mess aready with all the sanctioning bodies, now these organizations throw in different categories of titles into the same weight classes?

The WWE has less belts and their more meaningful than half of the belts this sport has. An Australian guy just won the IBF North American Middleweight belt. I didn't realise Australia was part of North America.
Might make my trip to the States less expensive now!

Sherman Williams won the WBO China Zone heavyweight title, the interim WBO Asia Pacific heavyweight title and the interim WBO Oriental heavyweight title when he beat Chauncy Welliver...

Williams is from the Bahamas and Chauncy is from New Zealand (though born in the USA I think)

Intercontinental and international titles are regional titles so basically they mean a certain fighter is a champion of a specific area rather than champion of the world.
silver champion was originally an interim champion but now it's basically a junior version of the real title.

Super champion is when a fighter has 2 or more world titles. For example if fighter A has the IBF and WBA belts,he is the super WBA champion. And then the WBA also has a regular WBA champion which is basically a junior world champion.

*the IBF thankfully only has 1 champ in each division with no BS super champs.

Yea saw silver youth the other day, That really pissed me off how ridiculous, combine 2 ******ed titles?

I wish we nuked the WBC, WBA, WBO, IBA, IBO, IBF, NBA, EBU, BBBofC, and other title groups and made the title,

WOOB, We could call it. World Organization Of Boxing, only thing that isn't taken, :-(.

    WOOB Heavyweight title
    WOOB interim title
    WOOB Inter-Continental title
    WOOB European Title
    WOOB North American title
    WOOB Asian Title
    WOOB Aussie title
    WOOB African title
    WOOB Youth title

    Thats it.

It's a fake sport, no belts mean ****, actors get them as jokes.

Out of interest...what region does "international" cover? What region does "inter-continental" cover? I understand titles like "European" or "North American", "Asia" and "African" and even "Commonwealth" as they are defined land areas (even if they aren't connected up). But International and Inter-Continental just seem like vague descriptions.

In regards to "Super Champion" you've given us the "normal" description (although there was a time where the WBA had Gamboa as their "unified" champion), but how are Chris John, Felix Sturm, Andre Ward, Floyd Mayweather all "Super Champions"?

Also the WBA have a "Super title" (I think that's what they call it) which is held by a legend of the sport in theid division, i.e. Ali at Heavyweight.

I am astonish at the amounts of title belts for every weight class, I was thinking that maybe those boxers were getting them from inside their cereal boxes.

International just means "not a world title" as does intercontinental. It sounds impressive I guess. I can't keep all this **** straight.

Belts are a joke these days. It's all about the draw and purse now really
