Of course Mayweather beat him because he was way better. That was just one of several reason. Why don't we add, the reach advantage as well? How bout May being taller? How about May being naturally stronger and having a way better build? How was Baldomir weight going to give him an advantage, when it's an unhealthy weight? He is ****ing slow. There's so many components to each fight. First thing you need to do is check with the EYE test. Then you look at weight, reach, overall size etc etc. And of course the difference in skill. THIS IS NOT TO DISCREDIT MAYWEATHER. This applies to every fighter. I just don't understand why people are shocked that he beats guys who are heavier. The "advantage" is not what it seems.

I agree, many athletes can be small and NATURALLY weigh a lot. But it has to be a natural, healthy weight. For example, many Pro Football players weigh a lot but when you look at their bodies, you understand why. They are built like TANKS. Tyson is a perfect example. Most of the guys who have weigh'd more than May, are not that type.

Metabolism slows down with age, and he is 36 now. At 36 if he wasn't dedicated and was always eating junk then he would naturally start gaining a lot of weight.

There is no way he doesn't train that hard eats a lot of junk and just relies on metabolism at the age of 36, at the age of 19-20 yea but not at 36.

Truthfully it doesn't matter what you eat it matters how much you work to burn it off and the older you get the hard it is to put in that work. So him being at 148 right now is either because he eats healthy to allow himself to stay down in weight or because he trains his ass off. But there is no way he does neither and can be at 148 just because his body naturally burns weight.

You say this yet Baldo was a guy who kept coming and rarely gassed out. He broke Judah down because he kept coming and coming.

 because they're very active and train other fighters for hours a day and they don't eat above their maintenance.

Fat people have a SLOWER metabolism. But metabolism is only one of the problems. Most likely, they consume a **** load of calories. No exercise and genetics. **** like that.

His had and uncle stay in the gym training fighters. They are very active old men.

They may eat junk food but how much junk food do they consume a day? How many times do they even eat a day?

I can bet you they have also gained weight over the yrs even though it may not be massive amounts.

  10. The fact that he doesn't need to cut weight when 99% of world class fighters do it for an advantage... is impressive.

That being said. Your point is valid. :good

They need to have more discipline then.

There is no reason they can't make weight when you have for example 7 lbs between 147 and 140.

As long as you come in below 147 and above 140, you're good.

no they don't. Your metabolism AKA your TDEE (Total Daily Energy Expenditure) is decided on 4 things
    Your
BMR: which is decided by your WEIGHT, gender, age, height and hormones.
NEAT: the amount of calories you burn doing regular daily activities
EAT: the calories you burn exercising
TEF: the calories you burn off digesting food. Protein and fiber have the biggest effect on this

My BMR is 1671 calories, but if I was 200 pounds, it'd be 2020. And THAT'S JUST MY BMR. When you're bigger you burn more calories moving around and exercising also.

Wrestler here. Weight is not an advantage; muscle is. If i lose all my water weight, and my opponent doesn't, we'll be at the same weight and I'll have more muscle than him. Duh.
