Not trying to push a stereotype or anything, but I have to in an effort to clear up a fallacy being espoused here.

Has anyone ever seen a Thai Heavyweight?

Thailand has produced exactly 10 of them... as in that's all of them in recorded Boxing history, period.

    10 Cruiserweights.
    32 Light Heavyweights
    37 Super Middleweights
    83 Middleweights

So its not like Thais are known for being behemoths when they're full grown, much less at 10 year olds.

No, why would I? I don't box, IB and aren't the same person.:deal: I'm just a really sharp Boxing fan that's a decent writer.

But I'm a full fledged Cruiserweight, a Heavyweight when I have a big meal. Which division would you fall in?

Thought you'd need to experience it yourself being such a big fan of the sport

I have, I got into a few fights when I was a kid and didn't like the feeling of being punched in the head very much, so that was all the experience that I needed to realize boxing wasn't for me. Although I do have a solid chin. I never went down.:D

    They're not a large folk.

I mean, there is a boxer who probably ranks among the greatest two dozen or so they've put out in the last 50 years whose name literally includes "Pigmy"...and he is only considered slightly unusually diminutive.

Deafening? It's only a literal handful of people. The only difference is that each one of the respective people up in arms about this has a voice they choose to be extremely vocal with, to turn up to maximum so to speak. Where as 90% of this forum consists of people more comfortable simply listening rather than verbally sparring. It might sound deafening, but it really isn't.

Make an actual poll and I think we're clearly see that very, very few people are actually worked up about this. Which is fine, considering it's literally one 14 year old fighter who's already shown himself capable among his 20 something year old peers. It's hardly an epidemic, or even a legitimate issue at this point. Things like those same teenagers starving to death on the streets IS a real issue however.

The problem in this thread has been trying to argue that point makes you, in some peoples eyes, a part of this "problem" and unenlightened about the reality of the world.

The kids do muay Thai because they want to. Muay thai fighters are the coolest dudes on the block.

Same reason UK kids play soccer or US kids pitch baseball.

Obviously the same dynamics are at work as any other country as in some make it to fighting in the big stadiums whereas others have to scrape a living in small shows or fight part time. (Premier league and semi pro)

Don't let your imaginations get carried away.

not hard to figure out. just weigh what is wrong and what is right on both sides of the argument and see which way it tilts. and if youre honest enough and smart enough to get a clear picture, then the grey area gets much smaller.

Let's see if you change your tunes, and if you don't, there's something morally... very wrong with you.

As pro as they can be at that age. The whole point of this thread is bring to everyone's attention that children as young as 7 are engaging in a bloodsport giving each other brain damage and risking their long term health and lives so big fat smelly sleazy scummy pieces of **** who have a very sick sense of entertainment can gamble on them until their hearts are content betting money on them like their animals, as if its a dog or cockfight. There's no other point in the existence of this filth, its not their culture, its pure barbarity all for the sake of degenerates making a quick buck.

I don't give a damn about the skills, craft and work ethic, determination, discipline and dedication of the participants. What the **** is wrong with you? These are children kicking each other's head in, so filth can exploit them and make a profit.

I watched them. It still doesn't bother me. I feel admiration for those kids. Young lions. They're small but evenly matched.
