WTF is up with Keith Thurman?

I can't understand why he feels the need to bad mouth Pac. He talks like Pac don't stand a chance in the ring with him but he fails to realize that Pac picked him, he didn't pick Pac. Pac had his options on who he wanted to fight so what makes him think that there wasn't a plan in place when he was chosen. I think that he has lit a fire in Pac and I wouldn't be surprised if he wound up looking like Cotto. Thurman said he would treat Pac like Pac treated Oscar. Does anyone believe that.

 

I don't think he should say anything about Pac. It will just motivate Manny.

 

Thurman's fine. He's balancing the trash talk with a more than healthy dose of respect like continuously calling Pac a legend, saying how great he is for boxing, and how much he is also a fan of Pac.

Pac will be standing across the ring from him trying to hurt and put him down, so he has no choice to go into warrior mode. Maybe it's self motivation. Plus it helps sell the fight. And you know I'm one of Pac's biggest defenders!

 

Yeh, That's what I think he has done. He could barely keep Porter off him and Manny brings more skill, power. and wisdom to the dance.

I think you nailed it.

 

Porter is younger and will be more active all the time, but Manny is more skilled. I think Thurman has to take a chance and work Manny hard and make him feel 40.. If he is hurt in the fight by Manny ever, that will not be good, then he will sit back and lose a decision.. He has to be able to be aggressive.

Meaning if Thurman is hurt then Manny will know how to use that to keep Thurman from taking chances and Manny can win.. That is why Marquez did so well.. He was always throwing. Thurman should watch the Marquez fight.

 

Last time Pac badly really tried to KO a fighter was JMM 4. Maybe Thurman should reallybtry **** him off, then it’s an all out war and you can toss a coin.

 

2 reasons ;
- He wants, needs attention using Pac's name
- He needs to build confidence, as He is feeling too scared

I mean, big whoop, even if you do back up all that trash. All you did was beat a little old man up. You don't need to talk to sell this fight. Manny is that kind of draw, and as talented as you are Mr. Thurman, few will remember you. Be grateful that a legend is helping you to finally get paid.
