Jennings needs to shut The fcuk up. Cotto will but him on a tretcher next time. He needs to think before he speaks.
Jeez a lot of hostility for Jennings. He knows he isn't gonna get a rematch. He's just trying to save a bit of face, although in my opinion he doesn't need to. Have none of you guys ever been beaten up before? You always say things like "It didn't hurt" or "I'd beat him next time" Give the guy a break.
I think he may have been slightly misquoted here. Its only natural for jennings to think he did'nt do himself justice, hes a proud fighter, who i think got a bit overawed and wishes he could turn the clock back and have another crack. it's only natural what ifs. But the fear of the unkown which probably made him under perform, in his mind, in the fight. Would turn into a fear of knowin whats comin if they were to fight again. resulting in a similar outcome imo. Its not goin to happen, the lads just letting people know he's not done yet. So get off his back.
I was one of those who gaving Jennings a shot ( based on Cotto being gunshy after margo ) but the rematch would only be worse. As said above though I doubt this is a straight quote doesn't seem like him.
Get off his back?? No chance. I think he should have a bit more respect for himself and a boxer who is in a different league to him. Rematch?? It is not as if he went out on his shield and went for Cotto is it? If that was the case you would have a bit of time for the guy. He popped his BS jab out and didnt even land a half decent shot on Cotto. So all this BS a bout a rematch and Jennings nuthugging needs to stop right here. The fact that he even got a shot at Cotto shows the dire state that boxing is in today.
He should forget about fighting at that level again for now.Jennings needs to win some fights at domestic and euro level before considering chasing another fight against a world class fighter,he was well beaten by Cotto and must know himself that he needs to make big improvments.
Jennings knows he would earn more money losing to Cotto than he would losing to Young Mutley, Brook or Morrison.
