They've been charging 60 bucks for PPV boxing for awhile now.
    Was'nt the Mayweather-Canelo fight over 70 bucks?

I think Bob Arum really dropped the ball here.
He could have had Chavez-Vera on the undercard of Marquez Bradley and it would have done really nice numbers.

I'm thinking its going to do about 300k, would have done 500k with Chavez Jr. on the undercard.

Probably 10 too high. But I am no marketing expert...I think people will skip and wait for PAC-Rios. I will buy the fight as I am genuinely interested in what both guys have left. On a side note....I have switched from being a big Marquez guy to rooting for TB here. Not happy with JMMs handling of the drug testing procedures.

I don't even think it'll be that good of a fight.

    What classify's a 'super-fight'

Canelo Mayweather was no 'superfight' in my eyes...

It made numbers as a bunch of general mexicans bought the fight as well as 'mericans.

Floyd can't be in a superfight... unless he faces that one guy.

I wouldn't mind but Arum undercards are usually pathetically bad. He makes no effort at all. Just get a big name in the main event (usually a mis-match) and have massive mismatches as support. Top Rank blows.

I think the real title of this thread should be PPV prices to high, The fight itself is certainly a PPv in my eyes its just that ppv now costs 60 bucks, If you think about it us fans in Ireland and the UK get off ok with paying for cards, i mean this is free on Sky and Boxnation have most of the big international cards, either Pac Rios will be free on Sky or great value at a tenner, You only really have to pay for the big domestic stars like Froch or Haye and thats like once or twice a year

Well I don't even think this fight is worthy of being a PPV headliner. I'll be shocked if it gets over 500,000 buys. The Mexicans are very loyal to JMM so I can see them buying the PPV, but no casual fan in the states even knows who Bradley is, even after his controversial victory over Pacman. While he is a very good boxer, Bradley is still unknown to people outside of the hardcore boxing community.

Good matchup on paper, but it won't sell well at all.

Would you pay 10 dollars for a pack of gum?
    You have ten dollars right?

    See the point?
You want to pay 20 dollars for a gallon of gas?
