What the fukk is this **** man? this kid was supposed to be a GOAT in the making? WTF?? DeMarco? Seriously? Do you think he was overrated and just not that good? Or has he just had two bad days? because there was alot of blood and it probably impaired his vision, I mean dEMARCO? wtfatschatsch
The blood was too much, his nose was ****ed and i'm sure he was experiancing incredible amounts of pain.
Linares has mad skills, should never of lost to Demarco, it's given all the people who think Valero was a potential GOAT something to harp on about.
Linares could have won if it had not been for his cuts. I had him winning all but one round before the stoppage. But give DeMarco credit. He was landing some heavy shots. The uppercuts were effective. This fight reminded me a bit of Marg-Cotto. I love fights where heart overshadows skill.
Linares was boxing beautifully until he started mixing it up too much with DeMarco. He should have won that bout, but he threw it away...I think it was as much of DeMarco winning it as it was Linares letting DeMarco win it (if that makes sense).
it was not stopped on cuts, DeMarco TKO'ed him - Linares was out on his feet. Completely Linares' fault, all he had to do was keep it on the outside but he had to go in a mix it up in the last rounds.
Linares has a suspect chin, and even though he looked physically bigger than Demarco, he was the weaker man. Demarco has come a long way.
The cuts on the nose (and resulting breathing issues) I think took their toll. What was remarkable was that DeMarco didn't really land a lot so either that kid punshes genuinely hard or Linares has fragile skin...
Linares is overrated. The HBO commentators we acting like he was the next Sugar Ray Robinson. People need to realize that this isn't amateur boxing. Linares has good speed, balance, and coordination. He looks good out there throwing his fancy combos. However, in boxing the 3 most important attributes are, power, chin, and defense. I think you need at least 2 of the 3 to be a top level fighter. Linares arguably has none of the 3. I don't care about the cuts. Pretty much all of DeMarco's big punches were landing with ease. Meanwhile, he walked right through Linares' punches. Linares is almost 5'9", and is 26. He's going to have to fight at 135 and 140 throughout the rest of his career. With the way he is now, Linares will continue to have trouble against any good fighter with a chin and some power.
