Boxing has cancer and Al Haymon is a holistic doctor. The man has the remedy

What Mikey is doing is not smart. I think he thinks he is controlling everything while he is a free agent but the truth of the matter is that he is spoiling opportunities by rejecting all these fights. And because of that, he is moving up. If he keeps moving up he will fight at middleweight. He keeps rejecting these opportunities and is moving up but if keeps doing that someone will catch him with a big punch and his opportunities for a big fight will end.

Easter could well prove to be a much tougher opponent than many believe

I know Linares can ask for more as the a side but realistically I do think care who gets paid what, I just want to see the fight.

To straight shoot down a 50 50 offer with a champ like linares has to be considered a duck...

If he's passing on Linares for more money to face Easter I don't see any reason to criticize Garcia, not too mention he says he'll pursue the Linares match later in the year.

I'm not a huge fan of Garcia but I really appreciate the way he's looking at big fights and was willing to move up several divisions to face Cotto(a match where he would have had little to no chance of winning).

I think Easter is a bigger challenge than Linares and I may be in the minority but I also think Easter beats Garcia(that is a 50/50 type of fight of fight though).

hes moving up cuz of rejecting fights?? he rejected the fight to move up to fight cotto.. and he just fought at 140 vs AB and now hes moving back to 135 to fight most likely robert easter jr cuz they offered him more money then linares did... so if he get past easter jr and hold 2 belts then he will b able to get more then a 50 50 split with linares because hes holds majority of belts.

both easter and linares are tough fights but all honesty i dont see any one beating mikey other then maybe terrance crawford or possibly lomachencko when there in the same division one day if that even ever happens.

Definitely a duck. The only fight besides Crawford or Lomachenko that makes sense and people want to see at that weight. I don't know why top fighters don't jump at these kinds of chances. Fame check. Money check. Good odds to win check. Why would you want to waste your career fighting nobodies if you could fight Sugar Ray Leonard five times? Go for the biggest guy you can get every time. That's how Oscar De La Hoya became a star. He fought a famous guy every year twelve years in a row: Chavez, Whitaker, Trinidad, Mosley, Hopkins, Pacquiao, Mayweather, etc.

he passing on linares to fight a very game opponent in easter jr ...hes getting a better cut to fight easter jr .. more money more sense u would do the same im sure. and easter holds a belt so he wins then he go back to the negotiating table with linares with 2 belts instead of one and now linares really cant offer a 50 50 anymore . its a smart move by mikey. if he ducked loma an went after some clown then thats a duck . u cant really blame a guy for takin a fight for money tho. i wont ever disagree with a fighter if he chooses the option that gives him a higher pay day.

And the converse is also the same.

Beating Easter makes him a unified champ coming off a big win, which makes his fight against Linares more lucrative

I'm a tad disappointed, however if Mikey faces Easter next I have not problem with it. I actually rate Easters wins over Commey and Shafikov as better than Linares' wins over Crolla x2 and Campbell.
