It's the same interview, or another recent one where he says an identical thing... then goes on about Jones and Hopkins...

To be honest I don't think what he has said (in all the recent interviews about Froch etc) has been all that bad - it perhaps doesn't deserve all the stick he is getting!!

Not being Joes biggest fan though I can't help but have a chuckle.

Bunce had him up as the Greatest British boxer ever just the other week, and on the show they were going on about how he would easily beat RJJ... it's all swings and round abouts I supose.

Try to compare these statements and judge who the real no. 1 P4P boxer.

JoeCal: "Oscar is not a real fighter"

PacMan: "You (Oscar) are still my idol whatever happened"

    See the big difference?

He's right, although he's not doing anything but stating the obvious

This has been apparent since the Trinidad fight :yep

I see you conveniently left out the fact Joe said oscar was a great fighter.

    Calzaghe is number 1
    Pac number 2

They are both great fighters I love watching them both

At the end of the day Joe is right though.

Joe may have met crappy fighters his whole carreer, I dont care - but he is right about Oscar.

You rate Calzaghe above Pacquiao pound for pound? Now? In all seriousness?

Oscar shown he was still at world class level in last couple of fights, but not Roy Jones who hasn't been the same for 4-5 years.

I like JoeCal, he's vey consistent.

"Oscar WAS a great fighter. (Now) Oscar IS not a real fighter"

So in JoeCal's vocabulary, a great fighter is not a real fighter. :D

    I would say the opposite.

Roy recently impressed by beating the winner of the SMW tournament - Hanshaw.

Meanwhile Oscar looked like crap against nobody Forbes.

In the fight with Calzaghe, Roy actually looked relatively good (as good as one can look against Joe) in the first rounds of the fight.

In the fight with little Pac, Oscar looked like pure **** from start to finish.

    Holyhell.

What the ****is wrong with what he said? The title of this headline is very deceiving but Calzaghe praised Oscar as saying he has been a great fighter in the past. And he simply said Oscar has been a part time fighter for years, which is true.
