He is a naturally big guy, but 265 is pathetic,, he should be around 235, 240ish

YEP... He was a monster against Wlad and he was that size. I just dont get it... Its my job to watch Wlad's weight and energy... I just dont get why Sam has so much trouble:think

Well, Peter got his ass kicked by Klit back in early / mid Oct. of '08 at 253 pounds... I can picture by Jan. 01, 2009, Peter being 290 to 300 pounds...... And, with a "So-So" training camp over the last 8 weeks, yeah, 265 pounds sounds reasonable to explain and understand....

your probably right... I bet he WAS around 290-300 before camp..so to come down 40 is HUGE... They really need to watch this guy all year.

The yo-yo in weight is more dangerous then just staying at 300.

I guess we will see how it affects him in about 2 hours:good

I think Edward Chambers is kinda in a "Herbie Hide" type situation and ordeal............. Chambers is light / lean at 200 pounds, but not making any real money there by starving himself...... So, he wants to fight at heavyweight to secure better paydays.... BUT! in truth, 210 would be fine for him, and yet, too small / light to fight at against a monster..... HOWEVER! Is a pudgy 223 really any better to be at??

I agree. He is kinda stuck in between divisions...No cash at CW and has to lose weight to make it... and just not big enough for the big boys. I just dont see Chambers being more then a "B" level fighter in HW division. I think he will always struggle with the "top 10" guys

That "Pudgy 223" is what cost him the fight against povetkin IMO.. the faded hard and I think it was due to the extra weight which he needs to keep from being slammed from post to pillar

10-4... Also, quick weight loss can and will affect a fighters strength and stamina in a gruelling fight........ Sammy Peter's psych has already been dented by the "K" bros. and Jameel McCline.... I think the 265 that Peter is carrying will aid his strength & power, but also hinder his punch output and stamina..... 265 would be fine if Peter were fighting 'Marcus Rhodes' or some other bum / stiff who comes to collect a quick check before skipping town on the red-eye train..... But against Eddie Chambers, this excessive weight is a bad move and a ding against Sammy Peter.....

To be fair he faded against Brock and even against Guinn he looked a lil fatigued. I think he just has naturally bad stamina when it comes to going a hard 12 rounds.

Chambers---As long as he doesn't get caught before rd. 4... By rd. 5, Peter will be looking for an air tank......
