Ramirez got robbed. It is a shame.

Ramirez makes the fight, more punches landed...

    Sauerland corruption.

It was a close, but well earned win for Huck. The punch stats were totally WRONG.

Commentators nor I could understand the stats...95% of Ramirez's punches landed on the gloves...just being the more aggressive don't automaticly give you the round, a nice hook to the gloves dont' really count.
Huck said no one had hit him harder.
Too bad Huck has to rent his jab from a thrid class Tux shop.
I had Huck up by two, with the point deduction for low blows.

So you and some other posters know it better than the official punch stats? OK...

I was too emotional yesterday shortly after the fight, but I wrote it indirectly yet, it was a close fight, but it was a clear Ramirez win IMO (by at least 2 points), Huck was too passive, all he did after round 4 was holding, low-blowing, etc., with things like that you can´t take the champion´s crown, especially if the champ is stalking you the whole 36 minutes. Btw, to say who think Ramirez didn´t land at all, watch the fight again, he did good work in the infight and landed also good shots...

Imo, Huck won fair! He didn`t look good winning, but Ramirez didn`t do anything but comming foreward constantly with wild uncontrolled swings, he was the aggressor yes, but Huck did a fine job keeping Ramirez away and landed the more clean punches! Ramirez is very one demensionel, he`s the kind of fighter you can throw anything at but the kitchenzink, he just keep comming foreward, Huck simply did what he had to do

Firstly this fight reminded me a little of Sturm vs Gevor. Clearly Sturm boxes better than Huck, but the constellation was similar, one constant pressing fighter vs. one who places his shots better.
The decision was ok imo, even though it should have been closer especially counting the point deduction.
It was a little strange, that the cards took so long to be counted together. Maybe there was something fishy going on. Still the result seems fair (while still too wide) to me.

Now to Luigi, who admits that he was kind of emotionally during the fight. This means you were rooting for Ramirez. So basicly you do not have an unbiased opinion. I will not blame you: I know there has been quiet some bad blood between Huck and Italian boxers before.

I didn't score the fight, but my impression was a close win for Huck, even with the point deductions, which were VERY fast anyway. Normally, you first receive two clear warnings during a time-out, but Huck immediately had two points deducted for low blows that didn't even seem very intentional. How the hell is that corruption in his favor?

The punchstats were bull**** anyway. A 50% connect rate is HUGE, something you only see during complete mismatches like Mayweather vs Gatti or Jones vs Pazianza. The vast majority of Ramirez' punches landed on Huck's guard.

There often are corrupt decisions in boxing (in any place in the world), but this wasn't one of them..... or if it was, they at least picked the right winner.

It was a very close and competitive fight. Both fighters should not be ashamed of anything. It was kind of strange that it took a lot of time to calculate the final scores.

A few of us scored this in the British forum (so no bias towards either fighter really) and everyone had it for Huck. Didn't have the commentary on (it was in Polish anyway...) and didn't see the punch stats at the time (though should be blindingly obvious to anyone who watched the fight that Ramirez did not land 50% of his shots).

I had it 114 - 113 iirc, which was one of the most favourable scores for Ramirez. And that's with a couple of Ramirez rounds that were really close and could easily be given the other way.

I disagree - I think the fight was pretty cool to watch. Two punchers going at it... what not to like?

Yes, it was a very good fight. Much better than some of HBO fights from last week or Alcine's one from this weekend.

Great fight. After the first 2-3 rounds, i thought it would end a TKO/KO. !
