That was a good knock down, I had to see it in slow mo to really see it. It landed well and had reyes dazed when he got up.
I thought it was a good, close fight. Demarco had the advantage in height and reach, while Reyes had the advantage in experience. It was a step up for the Demarco as Reyes was ranked #8 by the WBO according to my latest issue of Boxing Digest. Demarco used his height and reach well early and scored a pretty knockdown to start the third. As the fight wore on, he was more open to Reyes's right hand, and the Puerto Rican started doing some damage and seemed to win most of the rounds down the stretch. It ended up a split decision win for Demarco 93-96, 95-94, and 96-93. I scored it 95-94 for Reyes, but it could have gone either way. A nice win for the Mexican against a tricky, more experienced fighter. Nice scrap overall.
