WTF: Top Rank can't even make their stable fight each other, the end is nigh!

Discussion in 'World Boxing Forum' started by Apocolypse313, Aug 13, 2015.

  1. Bradley vs Rios is off. Hell Rios can't catch a break at 147, nobody wants to fight him. This is the second time this guy lost a fight at the table. It's must be a problem of his at this point.

Top Rank is a sinking ship with GBP treading water right next to them. At least they have David and Canelo fighting this year. Where is Crawford's fight. Bradley and Arum should talk with Oscar about a Sadam Ali fight so Bradley can take another 0 this year to sustain himself until New Years, when him and Marquez toast over the dead "fighting spirit" of Pacquiao that they acquired back in 2012.:hey

That's a brutal post, but you are right, TR is not doing too well at the moment.

Rios agreed to everything the Bradley camp asked for. Even the money. Bradley's manager shôwed the contract to Bradley and he said no to the fight. Brook made all sorts of demands and his management made an offer and Rios team made a counter offer and Brook said yes. The Brooks manager tried to add to and change the offer and Cameron Dunkin said no. Most of the details of the offer and counter offer were never reveiled. Who is ducking who and why do these men or their managers not want to fight Rios?

According to Bradley's manager, the fight isn't off. They just turned down the latest offer.

Rios expects a big % of the pie as if he is still the rising, heavily talked about LW fresh off the Acosta and Antillon wars, while at the same time not bringing in star-level money and not being a great victory that commands great respect.

And if there is one top fighter at WW who will make Rios look much better than he is, it is Tim Bradley (styles). Bradley needs to be fighting boxers and boxer punchers. Not volume punchers or swarmers.

As much as I am not a fan of Haymon, I think the quicker Arum departs boxing the better!

Top Rank's stable is a disgrace, there's barely anything left. There are a handful of combinations of decent fights which would fill up 1 year then it's rematch central and nothing much else, might as well give them all to Haymon so we can see some cool possibilities.

It depends what you believe, according to hearn they went back and forth on money and got to a point where top rank didn't mention the money anymore and made no counter offer, it was down to a rematch clause, which I have no idea why anybody taking a voluntary would have a problem with.

Nobody would duck brandon rios for godsakes... this is boxing this is business. People need to stop questioning everything on here and trying to make out one side is ducking the other, somethings things just don't make sense in business...

We are all guessing and know nothing about the situation but to me it seems like rios thinks hes worth more than he is after his big payday against manny.

Every boxer has a gas tank of fights in their career. It can not be filled. Therefore, since boxers are professionals and make their living from the sport, they need to maximize the income from each and every fight. Bradley is going to take punishment against Rios, and his feather fists won't be koing Rios, even though Bradley would most probably win. He probably believes that the money he will make is not worth the gas he will spend from his tank.

Rios is the problem, he is pricing himself out of fights, he simply thinks he is much better than he really is.

Rios agreed to the fight with Bradley for 30% to Bradley's 70%. That does not sound like over pricing to me. Rios just wants to fight.

He has about three good combinations left then he is ****ed. Then he is in rematch central or mismatch central, he has no depth whatsoever. Might as well sign them all to Haymon then we get a good scale of matchmaking.
