WTF Victor Ortiz might fight Steve Forbes on the Pac/Hatton undercard

    I don't have a big problem with it actually. Forbes is a step up over Arnoutis, his recent string of cans and Carlos "Crazy Eyes" Maussa.

    Forbes is also perfect because he's been widely exposed to the boxing public (hardcore and casual). If Ortiz KOs Forbes at 140 then the buzz will be tremendous.

    Define 'elites' If by this you mean Bradley Holt Torres Urango, then yes. If you mean Hatton or Pac no way.

    Forbes is not that bad since he is a bit crafty. I would love to see Ortiz vs Urango though.

    Forbes is not a stepup from arnoutis... Not this version at least.

    We'll have to agree to disagree. In my eye, Forbes is coming off enough high profile fights to be both an in-ring, marketing and financial step up from Arnoutis.

    Perfect high reward/low risk fight.

    no i do not understand why every fighter has to be rushed. forbes is a perfect person for him to fight

    As a fight for a FNF or HBO BAD undercard it's good. As an undercard for the biggest fight this year, Ortiz-Forbes is total crap. Not even for a telecast opener, PPV customers and expensive ticket buyers deserve better. Hatton-Pacquiao should be packed with action fights, and Forbes offers no action or any kind of danger, just a 12 round experience.

    HBO should say no to this.

    Fair enough.. Ive always liked the guy and he has very good boxing ability but he simply cannot handle the punching power of the fighters at 140-147... He's way out of his weight division and he can't compete with the hard hitters at these weights...

    Ortiz isn't a typical prospect. He's mature and fights with alot of poise and i can't see him having any problems... It would be like the Berto fight only forbes gets knocked out.

    What do u mean rushed?? how long have u been watching this guy for u to say that..

    He's been a prospect for awhile now.... A prospect who's beaten the likes of Maussa and Arnoutis in 5 rounds or less can step up...

    this is actually a very good fight for him. forbes will not ko down easily. the dude has a good chin. he'll put up a great fight. this could be a crossroads fight for ortiz

    Ortiz knocks out the guy that ODLH and Berto couldn't on the highest grossing PPV of the year? There's yer next mexican star.
