OK so Floyd is a much superior boxer and was always going to beat him. But Gatti just stood there in the kill zone with **** poor defence eating straight rights. Didnt the notion go through his head that his gameplan wasnt working? What a ****ing idiot.

The only plan that would have worked for Gatti was if he turned up with a nuclear bomb strapped to his wrist.Theres no point in **** head posters talking smack about after the event as though there some world class coach.Just give the guy credit for turning up!

He tried to box with Mayweather which probably wasn't the smartest idea,as Gatti is a far better brawler and his chances would've been better had he brawled. With that said, PBF would've beat him regardless. No point in bashing one of teh most exciting fighters of our time though as in that fight he did what he always did, try his best when the odds were against him.

It was the most brainless performance a boxer has ever taken into the ring. He stood right in front of him. He had to close the distance down, like Hatton says he is going to do. Youd thing after getting slapped in the face constantly for a couple of rounds he would have tried something different.

A bit of a late reaction, wouldn't you agree?

Trainer McGirt had Gatti change his stance radically for the Mayweather fight, kind of a surfer stance which requires to be crouched with both feet parallel.

Gatti didn't look comfortable so, as early as round 2, he didn't crouch as much though his feet were still pointing in the same direction. The result is Gatti was wide open for the right hand lead (which happens to be Mayweather's best punch) with reduced back-and-forth mobility due to the feet positioning.

Gatti's offense was easily nullified with that typical Mayweather shoulder tackle.

Gatti's cornermen never told Gatti which adjustments to make. McGirt's approach of the fight was thought out for damage control but the result was catastrophic for Gatti.

Other than that, Gatti and Mayweather don't belong to the same class of boxers at all. Moreover, Gatti was never the same boxer after the Ward trilogy.

Take a hint dude.... We all are aware that Gatti fought a dumb fight that night, and many other nights.....But he's ****ing retired now and the only threads we want to see on Gatti are from people who want to remember the good things about him. Like the fact he sweated and bled all over the East Coast for our amusement time after time...... Now **** off!!

Gatti was trained by Buddy Mcgirt! He trains all his fighters exactly the same, so Gatti was going to try and outbox Mayweather. The only chance in hell Gatti had was to let his hands go all out, but Mcgirt turns all his fighters into boxers.

Tarver and Adamek had the same stupid look on their face against Hopkins & Dawson getting hit by punch after punch all fight. Mcgirt has a horrendous W-L record lately with his fighters.

Believe it or not but I saw Gatti grow up in Montreal North. My aunt and the Gatti family used to be neighbours.

Quite the turbulent kids, him and his brother Joe.

Never paid much attention to them until the day I realized the said kids turned pro boxers.

Needless to say that I had a special affection for them, especially for Arturo, for obvious reasons.

Managed to do a lot more than a whole bunch who had way more talent then him (thinking here specifically of talented Guerrero Chavez and Jex Fontaine who grew up in the same neck of the woods yet failed to bring their skills to another level)
