He said it was because Floyd was leaning on his neck and he isn't used to that. Isn't that a fairly common tactic in infighting? Maybe not the exact way that Floyd does it, but isn't controlling your opponents neck on the inside not heard of?

    As does my pops

  3. My point was moreso that a boxer should not be getting a stiff neck in the middle of a fight. The man is ****ing old.

I agree. I was just wondering if you thought that the reason that he gave for his neck problem was questionable. Because I do.

I think in the Margo fight, Shane was on Margo's neck more than May was on his.

May was just so much quicker on the punch than Shane.

I replay a lot of the action in slow motion, and almost every time, Floyd could read when Shane was about to punch and beat him to it. That is mainly why Shane stopped punching.

Mosley was forced to think before throwing every single punch, and we all know what happens when you're trying to outthink Floyd.

Mosley's threw the most punches in the last round compared to all the other rounds, even the one where he hurt Floyd.

You do realise that a power punch is any punch that isn't a jab right? Because it sounds like you think a power punch or power shot is one that has to be hard or have knockout power.

Floyd threw a lot of shots not that many with power, Mosely just didn't get the chance to throw, he was too slow.

    HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH

I'm watching an extended floyd interview from nov 09 looking for ****, and floyd just said "i mean, and even if I fight shane mosley and dominate him, they gonna say woopty doo, he's 38 with five losses, so it's like I said, I am in a no win situation"

We all have to come to terms with the fact that the fight with Floyd was probably Shanes first fight in a while without PEDS.Shane isn't washed up,we just don't know who he truly is,that's always the result when someone uses PEDS to create their image.Who are they without them?We can never know.

    watch the mosley-margarito fight
    then watch mayweather-marquez fight

anyone who thought mosley would look like that is out of their mind. what happened in the 2nd round should have happened more often...it was like someone had his family hostage and said you better lose this fight or else

Most people thought because Floyd does not normally fight agressive that he could not. For those that did they were surprise to see it, including Mosley and his camp. One would say Shane is just to old, but I don't think that's the case. Shane was just out class by a better fighter then himself. I don't think anyone else in that weight class including Pac could have done that to Shane so dominately.

I'm sure Shane's plan was to throw a lot of power-punches but, as Tyson said, "Everyone's got a plan til they get hit in the mouth".

If, everytime you tried to throw a power shot, your opponent read/countered it with a hard shot of his own, it wouldn't be long before you became discouraged and just stopped throwing.

Floyd was faster, more accurate and just plain better. Since two of his favourite shots are the straight right and the lead left-hook, I'm not surprised he out-threw Shane.
