    Thats a stepdown from Salido! Mikey has p4p talent, yet hes fighting Cruz, a guy he will easily KO. Is this a publicity stunt by Bob to market the GAY Cruz? I dont get it, when theres bigger fights to be made (Saido2, Rocky Martinez,Juanma, Jhonny Gonzalez)

    Orlando Cruz made good Friday night on his aspiration of being No. 1 in line for Mikey Garcia's WBO featherweight championship.

    The WBO Latino champion retained his regional title and reinforced his No. 1 ranking in the 126-pound division after scoring a TKO at 1:19 of the sixth round against Mexican Aalan Martinez in Kissimmee, Fla. The win put Cruz in a position to face Garcia, even though Top Rank -- which also promotes him -- revealed this week its intention of having former champion Juan Manuel Lopez face Garcia.

    Yeah, the last thing boxing needs is for another promising young star in Garcia getting dragged to Court and charged for a hate crime. The sport gets enough bad publicity as is.

    Why not, he has big fights down the like, like with JM Lopez. Let him take another learning fight in between, he's only going to get better.

    Just a keep busy fight for Mikey. He should come through this relatively easy and take the JuanMa fight in Puerto Rico later in the year.
