WTF will happen if mayorga WINS against cotto??

Well, considering Mayorga does not give two ****s about fighting anyone, someone like Lara will get his chance and beat Mayorga from pillar to post.

 

Martirosyan,Lara or Chavez Jr would be up there. Look at K-9, so much for people pouncing at a "weak belt".

 

Im rooting for Mayorga. I hope he wins and ends his career on a high note.

Id love to see him face the avoided Bundrage in a unification between two brawlers

Floyd Mayweather will take him on, outbox him and retire or Pacquiao will fight him at a catchweight.

For one thing if that was to happen Cotto immediately retires, IMO.
Second, Don King will want to $-out on Mayorga... don't be surprised if we get
Mayorga Vs. Pacquiao/Mosley Winner...

Mayorga does not want to fight Mayweather. He said he is a ***** that runs around the ring and he doesn't want to be doing any chasing in a boring fight. Pac is the fight he wants. Though I'm sure DK will have the final say on that.

 

Margarito-Mayorga is another matchup Arum might try to make. That one actually looks pretty enticing

 

I could see a Pacquiao - Mayorga fight being made. I'm not sure how low they can force Mayorga to go though. Pacquiao would have to find a reasonable catchweight. It'd be a pretty funny press conference though. I just don't see him beating Cotto though. But then again, I didn't see him beating Forrest, or giving Mosley a tough fight.

 

I think there is a fairly strong possibility this happens...and basically this screws up a bunch of money but tells Cotto and his die hard fans what the rest of us already know...its probably time to take a step back and concentrate on promoting.
