Really interesting card overall with a China Vs Japan theme. Yamauchi is one of my picks as a future fast tracked world champion

 

Battle of teenagers to kick us off with Dawuti Haze (2-0, 1) v Homare Yasui (3-1-1, 3), 4 rounds at Welterweight

 

1-Didn't catch who was who but I think the guy in Blue and black us Yasui

They trade early and both seemed rocked, guy in white and black seems the bigger puncher but is forced to eat the bigger shots through the round, another nice exchange, blue and black is trying to be the counter puncher but is being backed upp too easily, black and white takes the round, more aggressive. Very fun opener!

 

2-Black and white all over blue and black, warned for holding the head which splits them. Blue guy is being forced to stand and trade and it's not really working for him, blue guy brings pressure late and the black and white fella seems to be looking knackered! Huge swing in momentum! 19-19

 

3-Black and white guy aggressive for the first minute but the pace has dropped and blue and black guy is making him miss more and firing off his shots at a more comfortable tempo, black and white guy in trouble at the end of the round, but think he did enough early. 29-28 Black and White

 

4-Both guys giving all they have here, proper gruelling warm and both are eating big shots, black and white has a busted nose and is on the back foot, on the ropes eating shots, blue and black looking for a finish, black and white doing enough to convince the ref to stay away, clearest round of the fight! Both looking exhausted! GREAT OPENER! This is what all TV cards need, a well matched, 50-50 style opener, not a prospect padding their ****ing record!

Yup, we have a draw! That's well worth watching when AB have the video up if you missed it! Very fun fight

 

Next Shichao Gao (2-0-1) v Koji Igarashi (4-3, 3)

 

1-Chinese kidd looks to be a counter puncher and is making Igarashi miss with some solid rights, a lovely lil combination when he comes forward too, Igarashi (a southpaw) can't avoid the shots of the sharp Chinese kiddy! Very nice work from Gao. Down goes Igarashi, he's up but stumbles, takes the count, Gao must look for a finish here...25 seconds left...he's wobbling and JUST stays up! His corner should pull him!

 

2-Igarashi gets stopped early in the second round. Gao looked FANTASTIC! The 21 year old from China is a genuine prospect!

 

Fangyong Zhang (11-4-1, 3) v Ryuto Maekawa (11-1-1, 7)
Potentially the best fight on paper, high hopes of a war here

 

1-Zhang applying intense pressure straight away, Maekawa trying to fight off the back foot but he's repeatedly being dragged into a war and being forced to hold his ground, and within a minute we get the expected war! Zhang is relentless with his pressure, huge left from the Chinese, a and a right, Maekawa fires back with a right, another left from Zhang, Maekawa needs to fire more shots off of his own, lovely uppercut from the Japanese and a good body shot, Zhang not slowing down and eats another uppercut! Pressure continues! A hook from Zhang lands clean. What a ****ing round! 10-9 Zhang

 

2-Zhang bringing the heat again, Maekawa looks the better boxer but this pressure is intense and Maekawa not having the moments he had in the first round, although as I type that he unloads a brilliant combination, no effect and the Chinese fighter (who has a style similar to that of a 1980's Korean) comes forward again, huge right from the Chinese and he eats one himself, big body shot from Maekawa

 

3-Zhang doesn't know how to go backwards and continues to push forward, Maekawa struggling to respond but trying when he can, Zhang leading with the head a lot and Maekawa not liking it, or the pressure in general, looked like Maekawa stunned Zhang for a second there late in the round but Zhang began pressing again, wild exchange to the bell!

 

4-Pressure again from Zhang but Maekawa starting to create a bit more distance to work from than earlier, lovely back and forth in the pocket, Maekawa keeps brushing his hair from his eyes...idiot cut it shorter, Maekawa complains about a headbutt and eats 3 or 4 shots whilst complaining, BOMBS AWAY! Maekawa seemed to be rocked when they traded heavy leather!
