There was a lot of hype for young WWs in 06 with Margarito, Williams, Cotto, Cintron, Clottey. Out of these guys which one do you feel most lived up to the hype and recognition they received when they were up and coming? Its not just based on what they have done at WW but for there careers.

    Records by request of J.R

Margarito: 6-3* suspended for a yr
(notable wins from 06: Clottey, Cintron:
    notable losses Williams, Mosley, Pacman)

    Williams: 11-2
(notable wins from 06: Margarito, Quintana, Wright, Martinez, Cintron*, Lara*)
    notable losses Quintana, Martinez)

    Cotto: 9-2
(notable wins from 06: Quintana, Urkal, Judah, Mosley, Clottey, Foreman:
    notable losses Margarito, Pacman)

    Cintron: 8-3-1
    (notable wins from 06: Angulo
notable losses Margarito x2, Williams*, Molina)

    Clottey: 7-3
(notable wins from 06: Corrales, Judah
    notable losses Margarito, Cotto, Pacman)

Can't over look Williams though who defeated Margarito and has a stronger resume at LMW then Cotto.

voted cotto cause he fought almost every big name there won except 2 which were still comptitive. Margarito can also be a good choice cause he exceeded expectations which were that high at that time.

You should post the records of each fighter from 2006 and on because I can't remember who each guy fought from all those years.

Forgot about Quintana but he also didn't do enough to be listed as its obvious he wouldn't beat out any of those other guys. Is that Winky you added?

I was going to post up titles everyone won, but didn't know how interesting this thread would be for others so I didn't want to invest much of time for it only for no one to be interested.

Clottey had some decent buzz as a big strong WW usually thrown in in the talks of potential fights when WW was hot. Not as much buzz as Williams and Cotto though.

why floyd and zab not on the list? I think those 2 together with cotto are the most hyped in the ww during that time
